Why don't you actually field a defense worth while before talking about how you are going to do so.

Nobody from AU thinks the Defense is going to be great. An average D will put them in the playoff conversation.

I mean, we flopped pretty solidly last year when you consider how we finished
Unfortunately this. Last year we should have been in the playoff or maybe a game away. No way we could "flop" worse this year when we shouldn't be as good to begin with.

Keep in mind, last years Defense forced a punt less than 20% of the time (SEC Games). If the Defense can produce two additional stops per game, the point differential could be 14-28 per game over last year.

All those prior "great" DCs on staff, all have had problems getting the defense off the field.
Instead of blaming these DCs who were praised as saviors at the time of their hire, perhaps one should question of there is change but results remain the same, then why is that?

There are dumbasses out there that want to blame the HUNH, but the reality was that Ellis Johnson was left behind by the game. All you have to do is see how he continued to play man coverage against Cooper during the IB last year. Again, AU doesn't need a great or even good Defense to get in the playoff, just an average one. That shouldn't require a savior, but I think Muschamp more than fills those requirements.

What about Van Gorder?
What about Chizik?
What about Roof?
The defensive game mysteriously passed them by while at Auburn, yet they all found it again elsewhere afterwards.

I know you ejaculate in your pants a little every time you think of Gus, but what exactly does he have to do with VanGorder?

Is this the same Muschamp whose defenses at Florida gave up an average of 12, 20, and 26 points per conference game in 2012, 2013, and 2014 respectively?
Interesting what he was able to do once he got his recruits on the field, isn't it?
But in Muschamp's defense, he was the HC at Florida where it's very difficult to recruit talent and he did have to play Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Kentucky every year. Should be much easier to improve those defensive stats playing in the SEC West.
Isn't that right...... dumbass.
Oh please, please everybody, I got this one.
Just for starters dimwit, Muschamp has been responsible for a top 10 defense in 10 of the last 12 seasons he's coached in Division I. Obviously you're too lazy to make an effort to know what you're talking about so rather than explaining offense, special teams, and defense here is a little video over at AL.com. Listen to Natalie and you might actually learn what the hell you're talking about LINK. Christ... to illustrate the point, go back and watch the Florida Missouri game from last year LINK -YouTube and tell us how the crappy Florida defense gave the game away.
and by the way, Missouri beat the hell out of Florida.

What about Van Gorder? Did not have Gus's Offense for support. See Scott Leffler
What about Chizik? Chizik did not understand how important Gus's Offense was to his success
What about Roof? Held back by Chizik, a very good DC.

Nick Marshall put up 3 more points than Johnson did in the 2nd half. I would say our d made the difference in the 2nd half

So winning 2 sec games in 2 years is in the way to the top? I guess it all depends in what team you cheer for. Auburn did not meet expectations last year while arky had no expectations.

Why don't you make it to the top of the hill before you start acting like you are king of the mountain.

The same can be said about Arky's program. never seen so many fans talk shite when their team is averaging one SEC win over the last two years.

Every year is Auburns year To flop
They are the scum of the conference
They are the most delusional fan base on tRant
They won't seriously compete again nationally until they find the next Cam, wait for him to get kicked out of another school, and build his daddy a church.
They just pretty much suck
