Re the 9 game schedule. Add to that the SECCG & that means that that year's 2 best teams would be playing a 10 game SEC season. Mix in the one obligatory above average OOC game each year & the chances of an SEC team winning the NC gets smaller & smaller. But as for tradition: as I am reading this, the league's scheduling mess is what it is, and all concerned agree that it is a mess, because of 4 out of the league's 14 teams. To me, insuring that no team/s has a competitive edge far outweighs tradition, especially in this day & age when traditional games are ending across the country.

WRONG! The "mess" as you put it is Les's complaints that he has to play UF more than UGA & UT. Well, Les, Alabama has to play UT more than UGA & UF. Oh wait, Aub. has to play UGA more than UT & UF. *SMH* WHAT are we going to do?

BTW, FWIW, ONLY LSU is the complainer of those 6 teams.
