that's all nice and fine but it makes the all time ranking a joke.
So run your own numbers on it. Post your findings here.

Never heard of him. Looked him up. He played 3 years in the NBA. Not sure I'd include him in the "greats" conversation.

Had a pretty good career until the Tourettes and his conversion. Saying nothing of the merits of his conversion, Ramadan in the middle of a basketball season doesn't make for a great career when it is strictly observed by a player.

I have no desire whatsoever to do that however, if I did, I would regardless of your permission. Quite frankly I couldn't care less about what went on in the sec 70 years ago nor should any a&m, Mizzou or sc fans and I don't think the fact that our teams weren't in the sec then should be held against us in some ''definitive' ranking.

Here's a sample of how I came up with these numbers. Take UK's numbers from the pre-expansion era:
*5 points each: 8 national titles (1933 and '54 Helms Foundation, '34 Premo-Porretta Power Poll, and 5 NCAA-era national titles) = 40 points
*4 points each: 9 NCAA regional titles (Final Fours) = 36 points
*3 points each: 36 SEC overall titles (24 regular-season titles when it decided the overall title, 12 SEC tournament titles when it decided the overall title) = 108 points
*2 points each: 12 SEC regular-season titles when the SEC tournament decided the overall title, 3 SEC tournament titles when the regular-season decided the overall title, 2 SEC playoff titles (1954 and '61) = 34 points
*TOTAL: 218 points

So, Arkansas is the 7th best program historically in this league?
LOL

you should give points for making the tourney, elite 8's and sweet 16's. SEC tourney titles and regular season/division titles are retarded.

More emphasis is needed in your equation on the NCAAT.
I see what you're saying, but the NCAA tourney has changed too much over the years. It used to only let in one team per conference, but now seemingly everyone gets in so it's not as big of a deal. Also, to win the NCAA's in the old days, you only had to win several games. Now there are much more rounds, so you've got to win more games to take home the trophy.

Very good work.Other than having Vanderbilt over Georgia in the pre expansion I would not change much at all.

Arkansas is # 2 all time historically in the SEC. It's a joke that many of our Final Fours and Conference Tiles aren't included in the all time ranking. This ranking is lol....

Not too shabby considering that they weren't members for two-thirds of the league's existence...also considering that Arkansas has won only one title (the 2000 SEC tournament) in the last 21 seasons.
Basically, Arkansas jumped ten other SEC programs largely based on accomplishments made only from 1992-95. Seriously, that's actually pretty impressive.

You should at least give Arkansas another 16 points for final 4 appearances that were earned before joining the conference.
I considered that, but in the old days the NCAA only allowed one school per conference in the big dance. It is of some people's opinions that Arkansas wouldn't have qualified for the NCAA's as many times as they did if they had been in the SEC facing Kentucky year-in and year-out.

He's right though, a F4 is a F4.

Arkansas is top 12 all time in NCAA invites. Top 12 all time in Final Fours. Top 16 all time in NCAA tourney wins. Top 17 all time in win percentage.
But you have Arkansas as the 7th best program historically in this league.
LOL
