Are you really asking if I think an unknown aspiring journalist would spew bull shite in an attempt to get his name out there?

They have direct quotes from Malik.

Thanks, in case they didn't notice mine.

Not saying it's false
He can quote Malik all he wants; I'm still not putting a lot of faith in a 19-20 year old aspiring journalist.
Heard from OM and MSU people in the know that it's basically all but a done deal that he's going to State. I know Simmons and Blakeney are with him all week and are recruiting him which worries me, but I'm not going to sweat it too much. Just glad we've got a coach who has already brought this much excitement and put us in the running for the kid.

LMAO, this has turned into a 3 ring circus. Newman is obviously going to play the game and absolutely nobody knows where he's going despite what all of you want to claim/heard/rumored from your father's brother's mother's 2nd cousin once removed who is Newman's spanish teacher.
Let the kid have his moment and get over yourselves.

As it should...

Yep, Malik and Tone are very close.

I said people in the know are saying that. I don't know what the hell he's going to do. However, we are his home state, his dad play ball here, he grew up coming to games, we just hired a great coach, and he would have the freedom to pretty much do what he wants. LSU has Blakeney and Simmons who he's friends with recruiting him along with a pretty good returning team (if Mickey stays).
I'm not sure on what he is going to do; I hope he comes to State, but this seems to be setting y'all up for another Leo moment.

You guys talk about your recruits recruiting him but forget he plays AAU ball on a team with a MSU commit.

Welp, that's a load of bullshite. OM people in the know think it's:
1a. Kentucky - if he wants to play with established blueprint.
1b. Ole Miss - if he wants to be the blueprint.

Well, there is some truth.

More truth. Going well so far.

And there you go.
You hope this is the case, but to say it "seems" to be is typical dumb MSUbulldogs03.

Can't see the pic but I'm just passing on the last thing Ben said, who I find to be one of the most level-headed guys out there.
I don't think we get him and I'm definitely not getting my hopes up. I said a month ago, the last time I participated in an LSU/Newman thread, that if OM doesn't get him, I hope MSU does. We have had no success at keeping elite in-state talent. I think the last was Rodney Hood, who transferred to Duke, and the few years before him weren't so good either.
Sidenote, is there any good website for basketball, like the college football data warehouse?

We used to do a great job in keeping the talent in state before Stansbury's last few years, when the locker room became absolutely toxic.
24/7 has good basketball recruiting coverage but I don't know about stats databases.

I agree, but he's leading you on this go around. Smell the cool aid before you drink it, if it smells funny, it might not be so good.

Well State fans, I'd expect LSU to start pressing Ray Kasongo hard now that Mickey is leaving.
