Not sure how many other teams can say that. I'm not gonna ask you to check in if you're team is undefeated in conference play, but I will tell ya that Mizzou is.
Swept UGA. Won games 1 and 2 against SC. Not sure at what point it goes from being a fluke to actually believing that this Mizzou team might be okay.
Anyways, if your baseball team is undefeated in conference play and ya feel like piping in, feel free but by no means am I asking you to check in because I don't think that's permitted and would get this thread whacked like the other one.

Why do they need to check in then?
This thread is about now.
Let em enjoy it.
Some of the fans in this conference are so insecure, it's hard to understand how yall manage to get outta bed in the morning.

If you think there's an Aggie alive who isn't fully aware that we'll drop a game any day now, you're nuts.

Mizzou will do the same. But we've been so atrocious the last 5 years and particularly since joining the SEC, I'm gonna enjoy what little bit of a run we have going before we hit that brick wall.

Y'all have a pretty solid weekend rotation, right?

It's been pretty solid. I don't know if I'd say we have a lights out guy, though McClain has been pretty damn solid, but we really don't have much drop off from our #1 to say our #5 or #6(guys who aren't getting a whole lot of opportunity).
I think that our Sunday starter (Fairbanks - JR) was anticipated to be our Friday night starter last fall but this JUCO kid, McClain has come in and taken the job and not looked back. Then the Houck kid (FR) who throws on Saturday is legit.
Behind them we have a senior (Miles) who was our Saturday starter last year, a freshman (De Oca) with more upside than Houck but a bit more control problems. That kid touches 98+ on the gun and has yet to give up a hit or an earned run in limited appearances. Then former 2nd round draft pitch Rash just hasn't been able to gain any traction as a weekend starter with the job everyone else has done despite a decent 2.00 ERA.
Williams has grasped onto the closer role. And we have 2 guys who have done a pretty damn good job as set up men.

Yes, Mizzou is undefeated in conference play.
By no means am I checking in.
Our winning streak in conference probably ends tomorrow. No way we sweep East Columbia.

The top of your order is nothing but hitters. Bottom half, not so sure but I'll admit, I'm only looking at numbers and this weekend.

Different reasons. The mind boggling one was getting swept by Milwaukee. Bats just disappeared. Pitching seemed to relax against them.
The last loss against Air Force is all on TJ. I guess he was trying to get innings for some guys because he started a reliever and then threw 2 guys that have no business pitching. In the meantime, he could have started de Oca or Rash and at least given the team a chance.

I watched a little bit of that game today and saw Houck throw it. He obviously has good stuff. I watched Mizzou tie it on some timely hitting...probably should've been more considering what looked to be a blown call on that grounder in the hole. Nice play by the shortstop regardless.
Having those arms might allow Mizzou to make some noise this year, I think that is what UT is sorely missing.
