Josh Gray would walk right around WCS if he tried to guard him. And Josh Gray probably couldnt even start in Europe.
That is some bigtime hyperbole in those articles and neither said anything about guard point guards specifically.

a joke on his minutes,
So Mickey has played all 40 minutes in every game this season?

that doesnt matter. The award isnt based on "what if he had more minutes". But he's deserving anyway.
I'll just pretend you didnt link me to sb nation earlier.
You're right. It's based on the best defender.

Im not even hating on WCS. I said he was deserving of the award. Are you even following the thread?
Btw when you spout your resume on a message board, it doesnt impress people. It just makes them shake their head.

WCS deserves it. I was riffing off of the person who said he didn't deserve it because he didn't get the minutes. You're not making any points in an argument because I like the selection. Again, jokes. Learn what they are and how they work.

he can't straight up guard anyone 1-5, that's absurd and you're being ridiculous.
that said, he's certainly a better overall defender than Mickey. But IMO Mickey was deserving based on the numbers.

response for your former player call out. Don't be sad your dad didn't get to spend time with you. Hug it out. Simpleton.

His 6.4% body fat is simply outstanding considering he's gained some 30 pounds since his high school days, while his 3.15 second ¾ court sprint and 12'3 maximum reach are almost identical to the numbers registered by Dwight Howard coming out of high school. The latter ranks among the 10 best marks in our entire database

There's no question that Cauley-Stein is currently the gold standard when it comes athletic ability when it comes to center prospects in the college game.

The limit on a joke's humor potential is the ability of the audience to read and comprehend. Don't be upset because you were staging a fake argument. Go in peace and be stupid no more.

just because you're athletic and in shape doesn't mean you can be a center and guard 1-5

At 7’0 240 with a 7’2 wingspan, Cauley-Stein has a freakish combination of size and athleticism that has to be seen to be believed. Imagine if DeAndre Jordan was the best perimeter defender in the NBA and you can see the impact Cauley-Stein has at the NCAA level.

Again nobody is saying he can guard any 1. But he can the ones w/o elite quickness. But you're right and all these other sites are wrong.

Eh, you can't realistically tell me that every center in this conference can come off a switch and not get burned to the basket by a smaller, quicker player. It happens all the time (hence the mismatch in the switch).

It's pretty damn close. He's been one of he best on ball defenders I've seen in a long, long time this year.
Posted on 3/10/15 at 12:21 pm to hoojy
I read what you just quoted, and that's all fine and dandy. I've watched him play and he is certainly a tier 1 defender. But he can't guard 1-5 like yall claim. Maybe playing some NAIA school or even lower tier Sunbelt team. But that's not what was being discussed.
I also have already said he is a better defender than Mickey, but think Mickey is deserving of the award bc of the numbers.
idc how upset either of those statements make you or Mr. Louisville athlete who is a fan of UK.

His growth as a player over three years has been pretty impressive. Should be one of the top things noted when people trot out the Cal can't coach trope, IMO.
