Slim Chickens is the local and they shite on everybody else. Fresh, never frozen, hand breaded tenders, wings, etc.

Not that local. It think they're opening like 10 locations in the DFW area.

But yes, "best chicken in the state"-yayo nose.

It's owned by an LSU alum, so we thank you for your implicit interest in the official chicken of LSU

Actually Raising Cane's is not a partner of LSU. McDonald's is LSU's official chicken.

Honestly the only food I have stronger love for and opinions on than fried chicken is Catfish. That, and bbq.

Awesome. I wish they would build one in Alabama...but I hear they are a lot like zaxbys rising prices shrinking food

They've all become like this....... Skinny little strips often times over cooked piled in a box with crinkle fries, texas toast & shitty cole slaw with one little container of sauce (mayo/kethcup/heavy salt & pepper)......

That's like saying that eating at Taco Bell is supporting Ole Miss because Sean Tuohy owns a lot of them.

Well yea, if Sean Tuohy was the founder of Taco Bell. But he's not, so it's nothing like that.

No it's not. Todd Graves founded Cane's right beside LSU's campus.

I can almost assure you Graves is entitled to certain fees as the franchisor

They closed the Ridgeland location years ago. I have been hearing rumors that they want to close the Starkville location. I doubt they are looking for news ways to lose money.

Not the same, really. The family that started Cane's probably gets at least 5% of every last thing sold at any Cane's. 5% of gross sales, not profits.

Well sure, just like Joe Gutherie gets franchise fee's for every restaurant that opens + a % of gross sales.

Yeah, I see they are expanding like crazy. The original Slim's on College is still great. Cane's is building over near the new Whole Foods. I hope they fail.
