Ask Ryan Buchanan. Obviously done such a good job developing this highly recruited four star that he has to rely on Machine Gun.
Can we even give Freeze "credit" for Bo Wallace?
He put up huge numbers in JUCO, and was a worse player in 2014 than he was in 2012. He never grew as a player in 3 years at Ole Miss.

Yeah... let's give up on a RS Soph.

Yes? He recruited him to ArkSt. He turned a 2 star into an Average SEC QB.

He wasn't a worse player, he had much more responsibility as the years went by. Not saying he was a great QB but he was more than servicable. Some of the mistakes weren't Hugh's fault. See last play vs LSU.

Its not us that are are giving up on him, its your coach who recruited/developed him who is giving up on him.

But judging by his career at JUCO, he seemed good to go. The guy at JUCO was the same guy at Ole Miss in 2012, 13 and 14 and never got any better. Unless you think that one year redshirting at ASU turned him into that player.
You can't even give him credit for identifying/recruiting him to ASU. Freeze was hired after signing day.

Hugh Freeze isn't a QB coach?

He was at Juco for one season. With Freeze for 4.

Freeze was the OC/QB Coach before being PROMOTED to Head coach.
Do you even College Football, bro?

Show where he is giving up on him. He brought in a JUCO guy to have a competition for starting QB. I guess I missed where not proclaiming a RS Soph as your starter is giving up on a kid.

Youre going to judge an SEC QB by how he does in JUCO?

I didn't realize Freeze was hired after signing day.
Either way, there's really no "talent" there to identify. My point is, he made a poorly recruited kid into a decent QB. Not sure how that isn't "developing".

For as much of an offensive guru he was/is hailed as, his offenses seem to be complete shite.
I think he's more of a moron than people realize.
Having Bo Wallace throw the ball against LSU this past year in that situation was one of the dumbest fricking things I've ever seen a coach do.

So you would rather him call a run play and get nowhere against your d-line? The objective was to get closer to the uprights, which is what Hugh told Bo. Bo had other ideas.

When it comes to QBs, hes les miles terrible...

It was designed to be a 5-8 yard sideline throw to what was an open Treadwell. That wasn't on Freeze.

i agree and wallace was pretty good last yr until he lost treadwell
but the next few yrs will tell the story on his qb development

Just think what could have been with Snead had Nuttster picked Freeze instead of Austin.
SMH...

How would you rate Hugh Freeze as a QB developer?
If I have to stay positive, I will say he's better than Les Miles.

Freeze's year as OC/QB Coach was Bo Wallace's RS FR season at ASU. Freeze was hired for that position after Bo was signed.
Freeze's one season as HC was when Bo was at JUCO.

Come on. There's no way he would take a chance on a kid like Kelly - and then another chance - unless he really felt he needed him.
Kelly ain't there for competition.

Because starters are always named in February.

So he developed him for the breakout JUCO campaign that you have mentioned?

Kelly's not here to compete? Man Freeze sucks
