Yep same thing happened to me. Drive from Fay all way to airport, no problems. Get on airport drive and some idiot comes to a complete stop in middle of road while deciding if he's going to make right turn or not. I couldn't stop and slid to the left and came within inches of hitting him. I was pissed. Haha.

I love the folks that think the world stops spinning when it snows. Conversation I had with the wife this morning went about like this:
Wife: where are you going?
Me: uh, work.
Wife: what?! Didn't it snow last night?!

I'm off work, but it's a hour commute to work for me and on curvy roads. I know of 2 curves that would pucker my hiney but all we got was sleet/freezing rain in my area, snow isn't a problem in most cases.

Here's the hill between Fayetteville and Springdale out by the mall.

We're supposed to get 6-14 inches depending on which weather person you go by. We currently have about 4 and they say the heavy stuff is on it's way. Not complaining though after seeing what the northeast is getting.

FFlyer has a nice one at the flyover:

We only got like 1.5 inches in Fayetteville, but a lot of it was sleet and its cold enough to make the roads bad. 20 miles north they got 4 inches.
Enough ice to shut the schools down though.

Yeah I HATE ice. Would rather get the snow. You all getting any ice?

We are getting buried here in Lexington. 8 inches on the ground and we have yet to get the really heavy bands. Low temps Thursday and Friday could reach -20. That's real temp, not wind chill.

Back the other way from the flyover.
I'd say Fayetteville got a little sleet but maybe more like 2 inches of snow on top of it. The roads are completely fuxxored, though. They pre-treated, but the major streets and the highways are still just fuccccct.
University of Arkansas and all local schools are closed.

These are from one of our local stations of the Watterson (I-264) that cuts through the middle of the county. We're still supposed to get 5 more hours of snow.

We now have 10 inches here in Lexington. 5 more hours at 1 to 2 inches per hour would would give us 15-20 inches.
I'm trapped at the house because the plows go by and have mad a huge mountain of snow at the end of the driveway.
Mayor having presser at 4:15. They have already pulled all the two wheel drive police cars off the roads

That's fun. Got to experience a 20 inch snowfall a few years back here. Take lots of pictures.

Skies are clearing up here and it's still 46 so I can live with it. Warm thoughts to all y'all who are freezing.

It's 70 here in NOLA with a stout SE breeze. Absolutely perfect weather for parades...but the cold and rain will be here before the parades are done.

Just had to shovel a trail from the back porch to the back yard so the dog will have somewhere to pee. Her poor little beagle self can't get up and over the snow.
