No chance at D.Brown or R.Lawrence ?
Brown seems like a really sharp kid in his interviews. You'd think he would see the opportunity at Bama to step in and contribute.
Either one would be a good trade for Davis, but Brown seemed to walk and talk like a Bama player to me. Sad there seems to be no chance of landing him in this class.

We need big DT's. I want him. If he flips or doesn't qualify then so be. I want someone else as insurance since he is a risk of not coming.

We do need big DTs, but I hope it's Michail Carter and Derrick Brown. Raekwon does okay (albeit inconsistent) in combines in one on one drills, but he can't play dead in a low budget Western on the football field.

I'll admit that Bo Davis still likes him as a project. But give me some guys who can make plays on the field. Lemichael Fanning thinks Raekwon is a project.

The key word is "project". That basically admits that you don't think that player would see the field in the first couple years in hardly any circumstance. I'd rather find a guy who can get some PT as a freshman and have a role as a sophomore. He wouldn't help us in 2016 even if he had the grades.

Yeah Davis is gonna have leverage issues playing DT at 6'8" and the last thing you want on the DL is a guy with a question mark in the all important "motor" category.
If he signs with Bama great if not Meh.
Somebody get the memo over to Derrick Brown that he is needed at Bama. Bama churning out 1st round DL's you would think his interest level would be greater than zero.
