I cant wait to see your reaction when Terry Godwin signs with Auburn tomorrow. A lot of people on 247 sports have been crystal balling him that way

It is obvious bama didnt want him anyway. I dont even care if the kid does turn out to be a bust. The Georgia melt would be worth it

I think you may be waiting a really long time

I am pretty confident we will get him or Darius Slayton, and I will be fine with either

Darius Slayton
This is a real possibility...I'm a little more confident with Godwin.

We shall see
LSU was certainly his best option to actually develop into a player. UGA would have moved him back and forth between DE and OLB and buried him in the chart and USC doesn't develop defensive lineman very well. Key is quite raw and I think he is overrated as a prospect but if anyone will give him the attention he needs to develop, LSU is probably the place he is going to actually get that development.

You do realize that the only people who think Godwin signs with Auburn are Auburn fans, right?

Godwin isn't going anywhere and Slayton is probably 50/50. Too bad his parents couldn't wait until after the biggest decision of his life to have their drama, but I guess you can't expect too much from a parent pushing their kid to somewhere like AU.
Van loves his attention, any truth to him decommitting from OM?

Key though, he just isn't all that good. He's the next Dexter Morant

Slayton committing at 6:20a.m. central time bodes well for UGA...
If he were flipping, it seems odd that he would do so at a time when most Auburn fans aren't even awake yet to stand in line at the unemployment office...

Are you guys feeling good about Imam Marshall, too? Or is he all USC?

So much bad happening for Ole Miss at once. Almost like it was orchestrated.
I'm wondering if there is something internal going on that we don't know about. The way the class is unraveling is almost what you would expect if a key staff member had been lost. Unless Freeze miscalculated badly or built the class around too many soft commits (higher risk but higher reward), it's really strange.

More info coming in from the Ole Miss side of things...
Jefferson's father, Shawn, is an NFL wide receivers coach (with the Tennessee Titans - his job change when he was let go from the Lions prompted the family's move to Nashville), so he knows his stuff when it comes to the types of coaches that he'd like to see his son play for at the next level.
Sounds like he's not completely sold on Ole Miss wide receivers coach Grant Heard. That could be big when Signing Day rolls around. When it comes to Michigan, a wide receivers coach with over a decade of NFL coaching experience (five of it specifically with wide receivers) certainly doesn't hurt.
Jefferson was pulled out of school this morning (as noted in the original post) to sit down with his parents and talk things over. If dad's feelings about Heard play a big role, that's another feather in Michigan's cap.
