I've been in Texas several times. It's redneck, for sure. That's different from being Southern, though. It's a Venn diagram. I've never personally met a Texan who consider him or herself "Southern" though I've met plenty of Yankees who didn't know the difference. If you consider yourself Southern, that's fine. We're God's people and I can't blame you for wanting to be one of us.

Where all in TX have you been? It's a big state and we are not all the same, or even close.
