Ummm, if it's a rape case, UT isn't gonna be investigating shite. That's KPD's job.
I know how much you want this to be true, it's gonna suck when it turns out to be nothing, huh?

It looks like there may be separate instances conflated. One rape allegation. One sexual assault allegation. The girl who was allegedly assaulted has declined to press charges at this time. The girl who was allegedly raped has been examined. She has not declined to be involved in the investigation at this time.
Whichever players are being investigated appear to be held out of practice pending CBJ's decision.

UT will be required to do an investigation. Perhaps on both cases, but certainly on the rape case.

Appropriate 1st step while investigating. KPD has no love for UT so there will be a full investigation.

I think you are wrong. Mizzou has been down this road, unfortunately, and the school is required to do their own investigation by rule of Title X or some such rule. And charges do not even have to be filed by PD. Once University becomes aware of an accusation, it must be looked into.

If he's guilty, he deserves whatever punishment he gets. In the meantime, he's not been charged. I'm withholding judgment, I'd appreciate it if you stop jacking off to a possible rape you sick frick.

These players do have big targets on their chest. But these players are also handed a lot of things and the word "NO" is not in their vocabulary. Hopefully this one is a target and they did nothing wrong.

DA will decide on charges in alleged rape involving UT football players LINK
Knox County prosecutors will decide if charges are warranted in a reported rape involving University of Tennessee football players, a police spokesman said Monday.
“We don’t anticipate charges today,” Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk said. “Once we finish our investigation, we’ll turn it over to the district attorney.”
DeBusk said the office of Knox County District Attorney General Charme Allen will decide if evidence and statements collected by police warrant the issuance of an arrest document or if a grand jury will determine if charges should be filed.

Thought for sure Hood would be involved, but I think he graduated.

Guess coaches need to include....don't sexually assault female/male/animal.
well, i can confirm that Joe Kines gave the Alabama locker room a speech on that topic one time. Several of the players could repeat the speech almost word for word and in the Joe Kines voice. The whole thing was absolutely hilarious, but nobody got raped.
