Unnamed suspect, is a sex offender from Texas, according to the Mayor of Gary.
What a shithole that place is, our government needs to drop a nuke on that town. It seems to be a magnet that attracts the scum of The Earth.

Living in Louisville we get some Indiana news pretty regularly and they've found multiple serial killers and all kinds of crazy shite over there within the last year. William Clyde Gibson is one and they found women buried in his backyard (and in a close enough proximity to neighbors that I have no idea how nobody suspected anything). Joseph Oberhansley was the one that killed his girlfriend and ate part of her (he had been convicted of manslaughter previously). And as you guys said, Gary is definitely the anus of Indiana. I worked with a guy from Gary who got the hell out as soon as he could on a small football scholarship and said he was pretty sure if he stayed he'd end up dead like several of his childhood friends.

I have been all over this country, and there might be some neighborhoods in some places that are worse, but Gary really is the worst I have seen anywhere.

UK had to play a regional up there a couple years back in baseball. You could hear the sirens in the background of the radio broadcast, especially at night when they got into that 20+ inning game with Kent State. The announcers were legitimately concerned for the safety of the fans leaving the stadium.

Yeah, Flint is pretty bad, but its mostly normal street stuff and violence. The stuff in Gary, seems to have a sickness always attached to it.

Gary, IN is my hometown 
I feel sorry for our semi prog team, think they were called the SteelCats when I left.
Their stadium is right down town, and downtown Gary has to be the shittiest place on earth. They don't even have lights at night.
