Be careful. I've seen a lot of threats that LSU fans are gonna be extra mean this weekend. You might even get tigerbaited before they offer you a big bowl of their zatarains. Use good judgement

Piss balloons and tiger bait!
J/k, if you don't have a room by now your screwed. Just about anything outside the chain places will be good eats. Mike Anderson is a favorite.

Great post. I had fun last time I went to BR. Look forward to going again

If you have the chance go by and see Mike's habitat. (Since this Mike doesn't like going into his trailer, this is your best chance to see him.)

South of South's suggestion is spot on. If you get in town before 5 on Friday, I'd check out Live After Five downtown at Galvez Plaza. They always have good bands with beer/alcohol vendors. Then I'd get dinner at Tsunami (rooftop), IPO, or Stroube's.
Saturday, Walk-on's always has a band but I'd hit up Chimes for drinks then walk down Dalrymple Dr. It'll basically lead you through the heart of campus to the stadium
I'd also hit up Lauberge Casino. If you can get a hotel room there too, it'd be a plus

Live After 5 would be a really good rec if you like live music.
Especially because it's early enough that it could be done before any dinner or bar activities.
Also suggest getting to campus early and seeing the homecoming parade... All the freshman sorority girls parading around... It's a great view.

Be careful where you fill up your car. There are some bad areas.

If you want to see the team getting off the bus and coming into the stadium be at Gate 12 about 45minutes before the buses get there at about 4:30 P.M.

Apparently watch out for flying whiskey bottles. OM fans love to tell me they/their GF/their mom/their aunt/their dad got hit by a flying whiskey bottle at LSU. It really is amazing the percentage of fans I meet who have had this happen.

They got some good places to eat in the Gardere area.
Close to campus too!

There are a lot of good places to eat near campus, but on game day they are all packed, and, to me, I'd much rather spend my time walking to all the tailgating around the stadium than wait in line at any restaurant. The Alive at Five downtown on Friday nite is a great way to start the evening,as you can drink outside there & then hit Third St (right there) and all the bars afterwards.Game day, get there early & walk around, as the tailgating is apread out all over campus. Just be prepared for the idiots that every team has, laugh it off, and you should have all you can eat & drink for the whole day. No glass containers allowed & it is policed, so grab a large coke cup at any nearby Circle K or similar stop, fill it up, cap it, and you are good to geaux.

Just walk along Airlne Drive, I'm sure you will find a really cool place to have a drink.
