So if I can't get a room in Austin, what would be the ideal town to stay in between CS and Austin?

No such thing, unless you enjoy towns with 200 people with names like "dime box," white trash women, big messican chicks, and orchards where you can pick your own pecans.

So if you can get a place in Austin, I'd do that. If not, I'd stay in Houston if I was you. Lots of cool little bars near downtown and rice university.

Post game:

In CS, Republic is a nice resto with a good cocktail selection. Northgate is within walking distance, which is cool if you're not an Aggie and under 25, or 30 if you still look 25. If not, downtown Bryan is your best bet.

Also, the previous posters are right about Hyatt lost pines. If you can get a place there, forget the rest and stay. If you go to Texags they are usually promoting some stay package or other in the zoo aka Aggie Football forum, so I'd check there as well.

Hop daddy is for hipster figs. Best burger in town is at the jackalope. Chipotle burger or the chupacapbra (ground cabrito (goat) with chipotle peppers and chipotle pimento cheese) are the best ones and with the fried pickle spears. Not to mention the place serves cheap beer and whiskey. It is also filled with tattooed sluts. Go there and thank me later.
