Maybe y'all should get better at football.

Man that is funny!

Folks are watching SEC football even in small markets like Mississippi because they are wining and that fat SECN deal means it is more than just folks in the footprint who are tuning in. When you start winning people will start watching but until then you look impotent to be impotent in a slowly downward spiral.

Oregon and Stanford have been slicing parts of the Southern Cal carcass to feed on and Michigan State is winning in the state of Michigan. Now that JoPa is gone and Pitt has moved into a Big 5 conference they may get back to being the dominant football program in PA. It was Indiana that beat the SEC this fall, not the "powers" of the B1G that you imply.

B1G is like the horse and buggy crowd who thought the car was just a fad. Now you are just the view is other's rear windows. Have fun stormin the castle tho.

All the manufacturing is moving down south. All the money is moving south. We have the most booming economy in the country in the southeast. We dominate football.

The south has already risen again and the Yankees don't realize it yet.

That is just sour grapes on your part. It is booming anywhere not in the mid west.

Are you saying we should lay down and die so your teams can dominate again?

And did you feel the same way when the B1G was dominating? I suspect not. It is cyclical. We are not as strong this year as we have been, but we will enjoy every second of our dominance. And, I think having new blood pumps up interest in college football.

But you'll always have academic superiority, right? Oh, wait, the SEC is working hard in that "arena," too. How long before you hear that stampede behind you?

I'm gonna take your comment as serious for a moment instead of as the troll/insult to OM and MSU that it is... The South watches more College Football than ANYONE and it does not matter who is playing - demographically we watch everyone including the B1G teams. In fact, there have been many times where the South has produced higher ratings for B1G games than the B1G country. IOW, we watch and support college football at a level the rest of the country doesn't -- not just our own teams. Instead of worrying about small market places producing good teams you ought to be wondering why the rest of the country doesn't watch and support CFB the way the South does and what can be done about it.

This didn't start with SEC dominance. Culturally, college football is a religion here and always has been whereas in the rest of the country CFB is just another sport/means of entertainment.

Actually, southern football, specifically, the SEC is carrying the college football world.

I do think there should be some concern that college football could turn into a regional sport over the next 15 years or so. We like to make fun of the Big Ten, but if college football stays horrible in the northern mega markets another 10 years, the fans up there will lose interest and go exclusively NFL. There are billions more to be made if we can get people in Chicago and New York City to watch a college game, but they are not going to do it if the schools near them suck.
