Seems obvious why they wouldn't want to.

There is no fan base as dedicated to their football program as bama. I'm not even going to try to argue against that

What else is there to do in Alabama? Seriously?

11 am kickoff and nobody wants to go to starkville

Other than what, enjoy living the good life? why would you want to do anything else?

there is a big difference between having too much Bama in you and not selling a measly little 10k tickets or whatever they gave you to an away game.

Escaped as quickly as I possibly could.

All I'm saying is, compared to Alabama's fan base, we are tame. But the same could be said about every single fan base in all of sports in relation to gumps

Seems to me an Ag school could grow their own, as we do; Ole Miss grows their own, too, but, that's a different kinda grass.

Gotcha.
Then likely--not unlike the very regional CLL--large carriers don't fly there; rather, it's a destination for puddle jumpers & prop planes.
I do know that many of my friends and family members flew to games the past two weeks, and will be doing so again two weeks from now.
MSU's place on our schedule in 2014 is sandwiched btwn several away games.
The reality of the increased distance that A&M and Mizzou will travel for games, as compared to other schools in the conference, was eventually going to come home to roost.
Most people simply have lives/commitments that prevent them from flying to football games 4 weeks out of 5 in September/early Oct.
Regardless, the game will be well-attended, I don't doubt it for a second.

i'm not trying make any comparison with alabama in any way. Just saying it is surprising that a top 10 away game didn't sell out.
