What's really funny to me about us being 0-2

We lost to two Top 5 teams in the nation and people are making fun of us.
Sorry we are a good team but aren't good enough to beat top 5 teams whlie we are rebuilding

I was beyond pissed about losing saturday, but as the weekend went along I realized, good lord we had a thought to be superior opponent on the ropes and if we had a little more depth it would have been lights out. It's coming and I think anybody taking shots knows it, and anybody calling for heads is to stupid to see it.
Heck 4 weeks ago Arkansas didn't even sniff a bowl projection chart, now we are getting some picks.

yup.
i was so tired of sucking and losing now i'm just tired of losing- that's progress. we're a good team- it's been a good (bad) while since we could say that, and for the time being i'm quite happy with that. if we're still blowing games in 2 years that's a whole different thing because we're way ahead of where any of us or any of the naysayers thought we'd be at this point.

To be fair, calling for Chaney's head is completely warranted at this point. This is the second year in a row that he's demonstrated that he simply cannot call a 4 quarter game without going completely mental.

If Skipper doesn't have two penalties, you're singing Chaneys praise over beating aTm 35-21

You can't win on the Rant. Don't take it personally. When you eventually beat a ranked team it will be because that ranked team actually sucks and was overrated all along.

I wouldn't be calling for his job, but not calling for his job =/= singing his praises.
He makes insanely stupid calls seemingly every game at some point or another. That stupid reverse deep in Tech's territory that we fumbled could have broken the game open for them if they were a better team.
My main problem with Chaney is that he can't seem to make anticipatory adjustments at halftime. You have to contemplate that the opposing DC is going to make adjustments, and counteract those accordingly.

Didn't watch another snap of football the rest of the weekend I was so pissed.
This team is light years from where it was a season ago. I love that we have so many young ones stepping up, but with inexperience comes the occasional frick ups. We are going the right direction and Bert knows what he's doing.
Didn't expect much this year but am looking forward to seeing how this season plays out. Bet it will be a roller coaster.

Ditto on all points. I couldn't bring myself to watch anymore football after the game ended, but I started coming around on Sunday reconciling where we are now both with where we were last year and where I thought we'd be this year. I just keep thinking back to all the heartbreakers we lost in 2009 during year 2 of Petrino's rebuilding effort, and we're playing far and away better than that team did.
I didn't see anyone beating their head against the wall after the Georgia and Florida games and wondering aloud if Petrino would ever win here.

And screaming for a raise and extension.

folks forget Chaney called a great game in the 1st almost 3 quarters.. Then with depleted depth, and a stacked D line on the front.. Not so good.
With depth, he would have called an excellent game. IMHO of course!

Again, not true. Chaney has had brain farts for a season and a half now. Outside of play action, our passing game is almost totally unreliable.
Right now, we're attempting way too many passes outside the numbers and in front of the sticks, and Allen doesn't have the arm strength to push the football to the sidelines consistently and with accuracy (which is ripe for a pick 6). We've got to start manufacturing a passing game between the hashes and in the middle of the field, especially when it's there to be had like it was on Saturday, and we need to find a way to incorporate the tailbacks into it.

With all due respect, I don't think Chaney called a great 1st 3 quarters. I think we had numerous empty possessions where he got cute. Could have given us a lead that was big enough to avoid collapse.
