Still really pumped for this season though. I had Georgia penciled in as a loss but after Saturday I think we can beat them. Ole Miss too... Wallace is an interception machine.
Wish I could be this optimistic about a team on a 13 game(or is it 14? Or 12...WTFever.) conference losing streak. And have given up 80pts in those two loses despite having a dominant run game that should limit opponents TOP and chances to score.

the past two years have nothing to do with this year. We're obviously a good team... losing to two top 10 teams isn't going to change that.

Am I crazy, or was that Mitchell Loewen playing defensive end for the first time all season in the 4th frickING QUARTER against the #6 team in the country?
Players make mistakes. They're amateurs. You hold them to a lower standard.
Coaches are professionals. They're paid to be better than they have been doing offensively. This team would be amazing IMO (based on expectations and utilizing talent) if we could just get better play calling.
And that wins us games, too. Cutting mistakes are great, but good play calling makes up for that. Exhibit A: Kevin Sumlin in the 4th quarter. Or did we forget Aggie made tons of mistakes and still found a way to win.
Yeah, we can talk all we want about shooting ourselves in the foot with stupid mistakes, but A&M had a ton of screw-ups yesterday, and Danielson expounded on them ad nauseum. The long Kennedy pass play would have been an easy TD if he doesn't fall down catching the football, and they ended up getting no points out of it. Ditto for the dropped pass in the red zone that would have been a conversion that ended up netting them a missed FG.
However, you can screw the pooch time and time again when you're 3 deep across the defense and have a quick-strike offense. The key to our game is ball control/clock management, discipline, and limiting mistakes, and we did poorly in all of them in the second half.

True, but after pissing away yesterdays game, I get the feeling the only way we can win is to blow people the frick out. That's not gonna happen in conference. BA falls apart under pressure and makes critical errors, Chaney goes full retard on his play calling, and the D goes all Cinderella at midnight and shite in the fourth quarter.

because they don't have the depth yet. Smith's scheme has looked great so far... next year will be huge. Hopefully we'll have the depth to still be fresh in the 4th, which it was obvious we didn't yesterday

The past two years have fostered a culture of losing. We're gotten used to it; it will take winning a few close ones to put that mindset behind us. Instead of making progress yesterday, the "we're cursed" losers culture was reinforced - maddening.

2 fumbled snaps. Missed Keon Hatcher wide arse open. How many passes did he wing out of bounds? If his primary guy isn't open..he's chunking it. Which is preferable to fumbles and pick sixes. I'm just saying don't put it on him. He sucks out of the shotgun when teams know we are passing. I haven't seen him make it through his possesions or get the ball out when the receiver is open. He is what he is and our coaches need to play to what we do best and not try to be something we're not. I'd much rather lose playing to our strengths than losing with our weaknesses. Just like that damn field goal. Our kicker hasn't had an attempt over what 22 yards or some shite. He's not that great. No offense to the kid and I have not bad mouthed him once. We should've gone for it. We may not have made it, but I'll guarantee our chance were better than him kicking. We piss away too many plays and possessions. Every fricking play, every yard, every second counts. It all comes back on the coaches. It's what seperates good from great. I think BB is a very good coach, but certainly not great. I like his plan for this team, but just like at Wisconsin, he loses big games and pisses away close games. Attention to detail. Every fricking play on both sides of the ball. That is what makes Saban great...well, that and a roster full of 4 and 5 stars.

Fumbled snap. Overthrow of a wide open Keon Hatcher. Many other bad throws. Not putting it all on him by any means. I'm just saying we can't rely on him. His not gonna win us games, but he can damn sure lose us some And yes...I think he is our best option. And I'm not deriding him just to be an arse. I'm just saying.....
Huh? Odd double post kinda. Second post appeared before the longer first post. fricking OBAMA?!!!!!!

Where on earth did you get that from?

Y'all played a helluva game. I was worried about your running game and with good reason. Y'all are on track to be back sooner than later, you just need another good recruiting class or two. Good luck the rest of the way y'all are gonna win a few.

Nowhere. I just like to poke a hornet's nest.

One thing I can be positive about (the number of things will grow in the coming days) is that Robb Smith is awesome. He's still working with guys like Jared Collins and Rohan Gaines in the backfield and their favorite hobby is giving up big, heartbreaking plays. But the young players look awesome and I LOVE how we are scheming our opponents. Our pass defense actually looks straight up GOOD at times. It's insane. Robb Smith was a great hire. He knows what he's doing.

we should have won no bones about it. I really wish opposing teams fans would stay the frick away of our board right after the game at least instead of spouting stupid backhanded compliments.

I never said you shouldn't have won and I'm sorry you don't agree with my opinion that y'all lack depth in a few areas (as do we). That wasn't a backhanded compliment I really feel y'all are gonna suprise some teams this year. Y'all are vastly improved and much better than anyone is giving you credit for.
Posted on 9/28/14 at 2:53 pm to Agforlife
I agree with you. We're a class or two away from competing straight up. This years class will set our offense up nicely for years to come but we still have some work to do in the back seven.

Oh we lack depth, I don't see how we're 3 more years out (2 recruiting classes) from success considering we should have won against the #6 team in the nation yesterday.
I am curious why the aggies still lack depth given how lightly regarded (and stated millions of times on the rant) your recruiting classes have been the last at least 3 years.

Obviously we're vastly improved, I think everyone realizes that regardless of our record.

Come on bro. Everyone know's BA is the QB because we have NO ONE ELSE.
Fumbling the snap on QB/Center exchange is just bad. JV QB's that blow snot bubbles 24-7 can get a snap.

And professional QBs who make millions of dollars fumble snaps at times as well. One of the botched snaps could have been him or the center. The second botched snap definitely looked like BA's fault. It doesn't mean BA is always going to "fall apart." BA played very well for most of the game. The one area of his game that looked weak was his willingness to throw the ball away. That's a result of Bielema's philosophy, though. He doesn't want a gunslinger QB who is going to take a bunch of risks. He wants a game manager who takes care of the football and limits costly mistakes.

You guys hear how Toliver got hurt yesterday? Scratched eyeball from getting hit in the face with a ball that brandon allen threw away in the first quarter.
