I doubt they win any of those games.

Muschamp will not survive at UF... it's pretty obvious to most at this point. Whether it's this year, or next year, the exact moment could move around a little depending on a few things, but to me it's clear and was clear before the season ever started that Will Muschamp's Florida tenure is coming to an end relatively soon. While I could foresee him squeezing out one more season after this year, I would be very surprised if he is UF's coach in 2015.
We all, including myself, bought into Muschamp's potential and built up his stock years ago, but he just doesn't have "it," whatever "it" is. He went to Texas as a pseudo HC, they flopped soon thereafter, now he's gone to Florida and they've flopped soon thereafter. I don't know what it is he does, but he obviously does it wrong.

There is a lot of talk about something you guys are clueless about. Really clueless.
Florida is a complete unknown. The offense has shown flashes- we have playmakers- that has been absent since Timmy. The D has always been good is a matter of dealing with the youth. Muschamp has to coach them up- and he has in the past. But is this team fragile? We really don't know. Is Muschamp bad? I don't think you can conclude that for sure.
How good is Bama and LSU? Probably about the same as last year. So I'm not confident we will win on Saturday, but I'm not crying in despair because we surely suck again.
And Aggies around here talk so much shite that is colored burnt orange- kind of sad. You'd think they would get over their Texas hate. I have close family from TAMU, and UTexas, and y'all are making me root for the longhorns harder than before. Humble pies will be handed out to some. But some never learn.

What part of what I posted was factually incorrect?

We’ve played 2 games people. I hate to argue in favor of Florida, but no one really knows how good or bad this team is. Who’s to say that Kentucky isn’t better? Or that the team was looking ahead and game planning for Bama? It happens
Completely Agree!!!!
This goes for EVERY team in the SEC to this point.....no one knows anything, ABSOLUTELY nothing!!!

Just heard Boom is going to be on SVP tomorrow.

Comparing CGC to CWM because they are both former DC's at Texas is silly. CWM inherited a full cupboard. CGC inherited a strong Junior and Senior class and no under classmen.

Your post was idiotic, and colored by your Texas hate. Like any Aggie talk- reeks of Texas envy. Shouldn't be that way, and I think is a stupid attitude. You are in better shape, you are in a better conference, get over it already.

The former happened because Meyer couldn't balance football and life (and seemingly still can't as he's relaxed a bit at OSU and seems to be a worse coach for it) the latter happened because Florida didn't offer SOS, by the time the job was available it was pretty clear that Florida was going to offer Meyer (since he had been hired at Utah by Bernie Machen's administration and Machen had just moved on to the University of Florida).
I gotta think that despite Meyer's success in the good old Mountain West Conference that the job was Spurrier's if he wanted it. The same could be said when Meyer quit after the 2010. I will never believe that Muschamp was the guy they really wanted after Meyer eventually left.

How many years in a row have y'all proclaimed "THIS IS OUR YEAR!! WE ARE GOING TO BEAT THE GATORS!!!"? It has gone on forever, yet you have still lost 9 in a row to Florida.
Only 06 and 12 did I think we had a shot before this year.

Name the proven head coaches to be had at the drop of a hat if you don't mind.
This is the real dilemma facing Florida if Boom can't get enough wins. By giving Muschamp another year, Foley's HC pool is severely diminished by all of the 'big name' hires made after last season. Strong, Petersen, Sarkisian, Petrino...
A tough spot to be in for Florida.

Yeah...navy...your ship is gonna sink my kitty friend...just like two years ago in the Swamp when we pounded your azz on the ground and had our way with you.
LSU is a paper tiger...not a great offense and a good defense...UF has great defense against the run pal and Jennings will be facing third and longs all day...he and Dante Fowler will be engaged after the game when Dante gives Jennings a promise ring. We are not Sammy Houston or Sisters of the Poor Northeastern. Prepare to get ripped apart by angry Gators.
Bama is going to find out who we are soon enough.
This wouldn't be laughable circa 2008...but when I read it today... I chuckle.
I hope Florida can get it turned around...the SEC is much worse as a conference when they are down.

None of those were viable options save for possibly Sarkisian and he just lost to BC.
Strong - bad blood still with UF (Foley)
Petersen - never coaching in the South because of his daughter
Sark - no thanks, west coast guy anyway
Petrino - lol no
The pool isn't as big as many like to think. Bama got lucky with timing and Saban bombing out in the NFL. We'll need some luck too if Boom is fired after this season.
Everyone claims that there are tons of coaches that are good and experienced and will come at the drop of a hat. That just isn't so.

What is Boom's buyout these days? Wasn't it close to 8 million last year?
Posted on 9/16/14 at 5:15 pm to Dubosed
No buyouts. Are you talking about the remaining portion of his contract? Foley doesn't believe in buyout clauses.
Posted on 9/16/14 at 5:21 pm to socraticsilence
we have to beat ut, ek and vandy. thats 5 wins.
we have to go 3-3 vs sc, uga, bama, lsu, mizzou and fsu.
thats gonna be tough. over the next 5, if we go 2-3, it leaves champ no room for error against sc and fsu. if we lose 4 of the next 5, champs only hail mary is beating sc and fsu, im not sure 7-4 is enough.

I agree, it's hard to come up with known HCs. I just threw those four out there because they had been snatched up by bigtime programs. I can't think of anybody in the big five conferences that you'd want...certainly no one from the B 1 G.
I know that Addazio is a huge don't want for you guys, but he did beat USCw last week. And with Tyler Murphy...never saw that coming.

Tyler was serviceable for us until his shoulder injury. He's not terrible when healthy.
The Daz in interesting if he keeps winning but I would be shocked if he returned.
