thats precisely my point. nobody really supported adding either of you. then the sec trotted out the $ train and all the guys with votes fell in love with it. done deal. it never made sense to fans and still doesnt. its just an odd, out of place feel to it.

Standing O for Texas coach charlie strong.
He will either turn the LOngwhorns around or is a secret Razorback plant to destroy their football program. In both case, he will make his home state proud but more proud if he destroys the texas football program and gets paid millions in the process.

Sometimes I simply don't understand where some of you dumbasses come up with your shite.
First of all, TAMU had been flirting with the SEC off and on since the 1980s. If the truth were known, we wanted, and were wanted , to come with Arkansas. Second, when the SWC imploded, we were not headed to the XII, we were headed to the SEC. LSU was going to sponsor us. Both of these attempts for us to move were blocked by Texas politics that we did not control.
Thirdly, when Nebraska left the XII, we knew our time had finally come. We had an Aggie Governor and knew we had to wait a year for the Legislative Session to end. We did and we came. I assure you it was not without struggle in the political scene in Texas.
So, our move was about 25 years in the making. We are finally home. I'm sorry you don't like it. Why don't you just go home, clean the trailer, have a cig, and chill out?
