He's right. You don't offer much more than what you've written in this thread. You prob fit in better on BOL.
Why go to BOL when this forum is Bama all the time? Hell yall post updates about Alabama faster than anybody.
That # I posted hurt a lot of yall.

That "joke" gained more yards against Alabama in 2009 than Frank Beamer, Bobby Petrino, Steve Spurrier, Urban Meyer, Gus Malzahn...and yeah, Les Miles.
No matter how you try to spin it there is no denying that Kiffen has been a Cancer at his previous stops, not to mention just an overall turd of a human. I respect Saban's coaching ability but I can't believe he made this hire.

It's what happens when your fanbase hypes a player to win two Heismans and he then he struggles in practice.
This is such utter bullshite. I have not seen a single Bama poster claim Coker as the Second Coming.
But that has become the LSU/AU Strawman Talking Point. Claim Bama has overhyped the kid and then revel in a non-existent "melt".

It is a rather pathetic tactic.

You'd be wrong there. When news first started to leak out about the possible transfer there were multiple threads started by bama posters, and posted in by Bama posters about the coming greatness of Coker and linking articles about his coaches talking him up as being Winston's equal and even bettering him in the competitition. I stated on several occasions in those threads that if that were actually the case, he would have been the starter and won the damn trophy himself.

Bama vs Florida will answer a lot of questions IMO.

I've always wondered why Jimbo Fisher seemed to openly push such a talented player to a team that he may have to face in the new CFB playoff.
I really believed from the outset Bama and Saban were being trolled by Jimbo.
If you look at any of his highlights (If you can bring yourself to call them that) he is really stiff and never seems to be in a rhythm. We often say a player has the "it" factor. Coker is a player who has the "not it" factor to me.
Time will tell, but if he can't beat out Blake Sims to start the opener my suspicions will have been confirmed.

Still might turn out to be. The Press isn't allowed to watch scrimmages and there are only rumors at this point. Coker has only had 17 days to work with the coaches, Sims 4 years. Too early to tell.

I stand corrected. The first thread I posted in was started by an LSU fan. I didn't go back further. Sorry for being a douche earlier. I had kids all over me.

Well what the hell was AJ? His last name isn't Namath but he was a 3 time national champion.

I'm sticking with what I have been saying since Coker transferred.
1. Coker has been a career backup. He missed spring ball at bama. He isn't ready to do much of anything at bama other than handoff and game manage. He can have nice physical skills, etc. But it takes time to learn a new system. It takes time to learn new teammates. It takes time to learn how to lead a team. It takes time/experience to win big games in front of 90k when it matters.
2. Simms still sucks and Coker will eventually be the starter.
My guess is Simms is outperforming Coker in practice and will continue to do so the rest of fall camp.
The coaches know Simms still sucks and will keep splitting time, hoping Coker will come along and won't name a starter until very close to game 1.
Bama's schedule is a joke. Their first 3 opponents are pitiful. I think Bama will use a two qb system the first 2 weeks at least. The reason is Simms will still be outperforming Coker, but Coker closing the gap and bama coaches will be hoping Coker will be good enough to make him the primary qb for week 3 in preparation for Florida, so the team has some better continuity for when the season actually starts for bama (week 4).
Given all that, if bama was playing in the swamp, if things play out like that, UF would win. At home, is a different story if it plays out like I think with Coker taking over after game 2.
