For Birmingham, I'd put down Frank Stitt's Highlands Bar & Grill and Bottega.
For New Orleans, Mr. B's Bistro was a good one.

It's pretty good. I think their Sunday Brunch is really nice.

To whomever said K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen, that is an excellent choice. This is probably my favorite place in the city.

Personally, I would also rate Commander's Palace above Restaurant August. I have eaten multi-course dinners at both, and while August was good, Commander's was simply better. Obviously, who has the best food is subjective.

Based on what else is on the list, I am somewhat surprised they did not include Drago's considering how famous the restaurant is and how it has one of the most identifiable dishes in the city.
