What change? The people that are going to smoke pot are going to smoke it. It's easier for kids to get smoke than it is for them to get alcohol.
eta: and I feel trolled.

legalize all the shite and let God sort'em out. Shift the money from enforcement to dealing with the problems. Illegality doesn't stop the problem. Cant keep an idiot from himself

No troll and I'm not worried about kids getting pot and smoking it. The change is that people on dabs and that kind of shite are dumb and generally suck and I don't want everyone to have access to it.

I knew this thread would make me mad.

Just realized you're a troll. I feel better now. I knew nobody who knows how to operate the internet could have such a absurd opinion.

I'm not a troll at all( in this regard, my trolls are usually very flimsy and generally have something to do with underage girls), but have you had to interact with people on dabs and edibles on a regular basis? it is fricking horrible and i'd rather just stick to the system we got now.
medicinal and decriminalization would be fine

First, lets define a "recreational drug".
Is that marijuana only or is there a longer list?
Does that include abuse of prescription drugs?
The definition here defines the discussion.

When I think of recreational I think of marijuana and alcohol.

abuse of prescription drugs
One of the biggest issues in the country.
But this is also the issue. Different people define it differently.

Yes for Marijuana, no for everything else.

Most drugs should be legal. Most never will be though because we live in a nanny state.

I believe so, yes.
I have never heard a single convincing argument for why alcohol should be legal but not marijuana, cocaine or heroin despite many attempts.

I get the Alcohol comparison when it comes to Marijuana but you lose me on the Heroin and Cocaine. I think those two are far more dangerous than Alcohol.

Was about to say the same thing. I'm all for marijuana being legalized. Not so much heroin, cocaine, etc.
Also how would prescription meds like Xanax be handled. Would you be able to get them at a recreational drug store as well as a pharmacy? Would pharmacies just cease to exist? I've always wondered that when this argument comes up

More people die around the world every year from alcohol related causes than cocaine and heroin combined by a factor of 1000.
So I disagree
So I disagree

Isn't that because more people use it? I'd be interested to see a comparison of users vs abusers for each. I don't think there are many casual users of heroin

The OTC price for a 30 day supply of Xanax would price most out of it.

Only because Alcohol is easier to obtain and its use is more prevalent.
Which is more harmful to an individual? Which would be worse for me to begin using? Alcohol, Cocaine or Heroin?
