Pre-season top 3 teams in each division

East:
1. USC - Dylan Thompson + Mike Davis with OBC calling the plays is going to equal another 10+ win team. When you consider they get UGA and Mizzou at home, I think you must put them as favorites to win the East.
2. Mizzou - No one seems to be talking about Matty Mauk leading Pinkel's explosive offense. My question is if they have a RB or 2 to lean on this season. The defending SEC East champs deserve some respect.
3. UGA - Gurley. That's all you really need to say. But having to play @ Mizzou and @ USC, UF on a neutral site, and Auburn at home... schedule just won't be the easiest road to an SEC East championship.
West:
1. Bama - So very close to playing in 4 out of the last 5 NC games. They still are the team in college football. Yeldon, Drake, and Henry MAY be the best RB trio in the SEC, and if their new QB delivers half of the hype he's been given, then they are primed for another run at the championship.
2. AU - No question this team has the talent and coaching to be considered one of the top 5 teams in the country. I think Bama's defense and skill players are slightly better and therefore Bama has the advantage.
3. LSU - There's only 1 road game where they may be the under dog - @ AU, and they beat AU soundly last season. As with the last few seasons, if anyone has a chance to beat Bama, it's LSU, especially in Tiger Stadium. If LSU is able to do that on Nov 8th, they will be in the mix for the college football playoff and SECCG. But right now, I think Bama is the favorite in that game and AU is a slightly better overall team.

Don't necessarily agree on the east order but agree on the teams. West looks right

I agree with the East.
I have the west this way:
1. Auburn
2. Texas A&M
3 Ole Miss

Nah, A&M doesn't have the horses on D and although Ole Miss will win some games, they aren't elite across the board like Bama and LSU.

No flame intended but USCs best teams in school history couldn't win the east. Not saying they won't win it, but I can't put them at 1 for that reason,

Pretty much agree, might have UGA above Mizzou though

They won every fricking game in the east...
it wasn't their fault they had to play at tiger stadium while UGA beat up a shitty ole miss team.
Shut the frick up.

I think #3 in the West is up for grabs between State, Ole Miss, and LSU.

I'd take Mizzou out of top 3 - put them at 4 - move UGA to #2, and put UF @ #3.
As for the West; AU is #1. UA has way too many green positions - leadership positions no less - to call them preseason favorites.

What does that have to do with this year where the defense will almost certainly be worse and their offense will be at best, the same.
