Skip suboxone and use kratom
I have a very good friend who got hooked on pain meds and tried to cold turkey several times but the withdraws were too much for him to handle. His wife researched and found out about kratom and he said he couldn't have made it without it. Withdraw symptoms/pain were non existent when he took a dosage of kratom. He had to ween off of kratom he said but according to him, it was a breeze. I believe you have to order it online. I will ask him where if you want that info. Good luck to you

I do know other people who have gotten horribly addicted to Kratom. But I think different methods work for different people.

Good luck with it. If used the right way, it can be helpful.
Unfortunately, a lot of people that I've seen with prescriptions for suboxone don't seem to be getting better.

Yep I developed a bad habit of snorting OC 80s in college. Then when I graduated in 2010 and moved back to Baltimore I started shooting dope full-time.
Tried methodone, that made things even worse. Finally got on subs and haven't touched an opiate in over 2 years. I stopped taking subs a year ago, and yes they are addictive, yes you will withdrawal when you taper off, but it is worth it and the best decision you will make is to get clean.
Good luck

How much sub do you take a day?
I was taking 2 and half of the 8s, which is a shitload. I weened down to half of an 8 a day before finally going off. Suboxone withdrawal was bad for like a week, but it was manageable, unlike being dope sick.

Cuz they are selling their script for dope money
You have to want to stop using, subs wont do all the work

To lift? Most people know exactly where that is from.
Your angry obsession continues.

keep cutting down, very slowly. Go to .75 for a few weeks, then a half, then .25, until you are just taking little slivers (I am assuming it is the strips because those are much easier.
8 years is a long time but you can certainly get off it. The real issue would be getting yourself out of situations where you are around pills all the time. It simply won't work trying to stay sober like that for just about anybody. Know what your triggers are and avoid them or be prepared. It becomes much much easier a few months after all the physical withdrawals have subsided and your brain chemistry gets back on an even keel.

When I couldn't get a good deal on the oxys I would buy bags of heroin but the heroin scared me because you can't really measure your dose because you won't know it's purity level until you shoot it. Horrible like that almost led to suicide. I have three kids who have a drug addict as a father and it's made me hate myself. I'm putting my faith in suboxone maintenance I I'm determined to stay off of every other drug including the chronic.
What was you on?

Lot's of good advice and encouragement from you guys and I really appreciate it. It's a hard to alone. I really appreciate you guys for real, some of can be some e hard-asses on here at times but when shite gets real, I notice posters rallying around offering any advice and help that they can.

I actually tried Kratom. Lots of it. But the kratom in the drinks are 6 bucks or more and you'd need 2 or 3 a day to sustain yourself. The pills
work but they are almost 20 bucks a day. I can buy suboxone off the street for 10-15 dollars and be good all day long and have a buzz cheaper than I can use the kratom.
