Yeldon has almost identical career stats to Gurley.

Yet when players were asked who they'd rather not play against, they didn't say Yeldon...

Deep down, do you really believe that TJ Yeldon is a better runningback than Toddy Gurley?

I honestly don't think there is a huge difference outside of the fumbles. I know Gurley is the pre-eminent back in the SEC, but I don't think Yeldon gets nearly enough of the respect he deserves. People like to point to our O-Line and that was definitely true in 2012, but Yeldon was a backup at that point. Last year, out OL wasn't as bad as UGA's, but it definitely had its issues. I don't think there would be a huge bump in production or drop off either way if you switched the two out.

He doesn't. I've been saying it for two years, and slowly more and more gumps are coming to realize it, Yeldon is an average SEC starter. When the O-line struggled early, he never made it out of the backfield. Gurley is on a completely different level.
