I just honestly don't get the hostility that oozes from some of these tigers.
They envy all things Texas A&M.

Since 1980, the series is tied 16-16. This is the time period I remember.

Texas will always run that state. I hate Texas. Can't stand them, but I'm also not stupid.
You're trying to compare a program that just barely hits 700 wins all time against a program that is about to hit 900 all time wins. aTm will never pass Texas in national relevance or spotlight.
This is the test case to the power of the SEC.
If A&M usurps Texas in the eyes of the country, the SEC is the God Almighty of college football.
My money is on Aggie, btw.

My money is on Aggie + SEC too.

OP please don't clutter the board with this type of stuff anymore.
Aggies play in the SEC and competes in recruiting for guys that have the balls to play SEC football.
Texas plays the Iowa States of the world and competes for the recruits that are satisfied with flag football.

SEC is really the perfect fit for A&M.
Cheer on the conference elite (something they'd never do in the big 12), while finishing in the middle or bottom of their division every year (something they were quite accustomed to in the big 12 flag football conference).

Big WTF is the perfect fit for the rainbow cows.
Have every advantage and a conference stacked in their favor and STILL finish in 5th place.

It's as easy as would you rather go to Texas or A&M for college.
Texas 100 times out of 100. If you say otherwise you're a liar

I was accepted to both, chose A&M.
You were accepted to neither, chose Arkansas.

Middle of the pack=top 5 finish.

I agree. No way would any top college recruit choose A&M over Texas

If you can't get in to either, you go to TTech or arky.

Pretty sure if you can only qualify to Tech or Arkansas, you wouldn't qualify for the Army...as CAT IV enlistments haven't been allowed in 5 years.

No Manziel and no Mack Brown, fortunes could swing quickly back to Texas' favor.

I applied to neither, and never would, but as a non-Texan, I'd easily choose Texas.
