I'll take those comments over "Old man football" comments. And yes, it sucks they won't get a chance to play at LSU or Bama or Auburn. This group has played at UF and UGA though and I'm sure they'd say much the same thing about each of those places if asked.

Wait until these kids go to places like LSU, Bama, Auburn, Florida, etc. They go to The Swamp this year and hopefully UF is decent. This kid might actually shite his pants.
He'll find a couple of those places less intimidating than The Cock Pit, but I do love reading threads like this filled with stadium snobs. lulz

I mean every opposing stadium for the most part is intimidating
That's absolutely true.
Certain home crowds in certain venues get-up more for some games than for others.
But ten of fourteen stadiums in the SEC can be very intimidating on most home game days.
Last year at Mizzou, in CoMo, there were more fans trying to keep-up with the Catds' playoff game on the scoreboard, than there were watching the game on the field.
The loudest cheer of the night came when St Louis took the lead late in the game.

Doubtful...I think it's time for a new eyeglass prescription, Gramps.

Well obviously this kid saw something extraordinary at WB, it obviously had a lasting impact on him. WB is more intimidating than a lot of stadiums around the country.
The hankypanky towellywowelly thing looks nice on tv, but I think the kid was trying to be nice to ya'll, don't think it's gonna stop him from playing well this year.

Denial doesn't change the fact.
The loudest cheer of the night was when the Cards score was announced.
There were numerous groans during the fourth quarter comeback that were equally as loud, especially the one for the missed FG. If that's what you're getting at? But cheers and moans are two different things.
During the comeback there were times when it was so quiet in that stadium that you could hear the Mizzou coaches screaming for Mizzou defenders to "TAKE OUT HIS KNEES! TAKE OUT HIS KNEES!"
They were referring to Connor Shaw's knees of course.
True story. Even the Carolina equipment guys who were on the Mizzou sidelines keeping footballs in the game for the Gamecocks, commented on it after the game.
Mizzou is not an intimidating place to play .... sorry to have to break that to you.
I've been told it's a completely different story when it comes to your basketbsll facility.

I read somewhere where Mauk said the hardest he's ever been hit in his life was by Skai Moore, play 61 driving towards their lockerroom.

That's complete and utter bullshite.
Anyway, Boehm was a freshman. So before that trip to Williams Bryce he had played in high school stadiums, his home stadium, and his only road game (@USC)
So the comment isn't all that surprising.

Boehm is a junior this year, right? Isn't Baggett a senior?

Baggett is horrible. And not just because of that one kick.

In terms of being intimidated, yeah. You are probably right.

Great story...I even upvoted. I find it really hard to believe that you wouldn't have brought up "take out his knees" until now though.

I was there.
Just scrooster being scrooster. Don't take the bait. You know how the internet service is at the stadium. How would anyone even possibly know what the score was in the Cards game.

Was it really loud when you guys found out the cards won?
Don't they show the cards score on your big screen?
Posted on 7/16/14 at 8:57 pm to roadGator
Other game scores are usually lagging a good 30 mins to an hour behind, even on the scoreboard. There may have been a cheer, but I honestly don't remember. It certainly was nothing 1/10 of what was going on at the game. Maybe 1/2 of the Mizzou fans there are Cards fans
Got damnit. Now, Ive taken the bait.

Your mobile coverage does suck ... but the score was announced over the loudspeaker.
You obviously were not there.
I still remember most of what the announcer said. Something like "Craig scores! Cards win 5-4!" Or something close to that. Then the board flashed something about an obstruction call and your crowd all pointed to the board and cheered again.
