First of all, this thread is stupid from start to finish, and most of y'all should be embarrassed to have even participated in it in the first goddamn place.
Second, I'm going to participate now.
Some of y'all are fricking stupid as a sack of Bert's asshair when it comes to your expectations and "evaluations" of freshmen defensive linemen. Guess what - even five star guys aren't going to come in and lead the SEC in sacks, no matter how highly rated they are. This is especially true for guys who are playing defensive tackle and are hurt for much of the season.
Nkemdiche is explosive, strong, and dominant. He'll be a goddamn great DT this year. He probably won't rack up a shitload of numbers but that's not really what a DT is supposed to do anyway (and stat's don't tell the whole story anyway). Deal with it.

well, i kinda thought so too. I havent been too impressed with Danielle, but admittedly I didnt see every play of every LSU game, so I didnt want to single you guys out. after reading the first few pages of this thread I got the impression you guys are pretty high on him.

but do you really think it's too early to say who is most overrated? most all of those guys are on some sort of national award watch list or preseason awards list. All seem beloved by their own fanbase. I think we've got enough evidence so far to begin calling people out for being overrated. Sure, it's all speculation. But what else are we supposed to do in the offseason?

Our pass rush has been average at best the past two seasons. Our adjusted sack rate last season, ratio of sacks to opponent passing plays was like 100th in the nation last year. Robinson led our team in sacks with 5.5, and I doubt it's because Pagan or Stinson made him look better.

The biggest thing a nkemdiche did was get into a fight and get laughed at as his slow fat arse tried to run the ball.
He was the #1 overall player, and for the #1 overall player he didn't do squat.
