This blew up quickly, but I can answer it.

38-0 and 45-7 happened. In 2010 and 2013 with their best teams, they barely beat us. I guess I would be a little heart broke after those asskickings as well.

AU took a lot of asskicking those two years. By the time of the UGA Game those years, most did not care.

The truth about 10 and 13 is the fact that AU did it with Georgia born QBs and the fact that AU did what UGA couldn't. In the BCS Era, they were the only Big 6 Team not to play in the BCSNCG. They thought as long as AU was around, their failures would not stick out. Then in 2010 it changed and 2013 put them over the edge.

Didn't take long for this to come up.

I've said it 10000 times and don't feel like doing it again, but you know that's not true.

So AU cares about their team when they're good, but doesn't care when you suck?

Nobody gives the slightest shite about where they're from. Do you think when we beat UF the last 3 years they were like "man it sucks losing to UGA...but man it's 10 times worse because their QB is from our state!!" No.

I think he wants a link to Richt saying "Alright guys here's the gameplan: we need to get them to fight us. Like I want an all out motherfricking brawl."

I wish our coaches would be that hardcore sometimes, but we all know better than to think Good Man Richt would ever really do that.

However, we have us a true Auburn Man now in Coach Rock so proper influences are finally on the staff to make this shite happen. You won't see a link though, because he was also taught cover it up.

How so? I would only expect that from like 90's Miami and was honestly shocked Richt allowed it to happen/encouraged it

How so what? He didn't tell the team to do that.

Some 70 players stormed the field after Knowshon Moreno's touchdown run, leading to numerous penalty flags. Richt didn't mind a bit, admitting afterward he told his team he would give them extra running if they didn't get called for excessive celebration.

quote:

Richt wrote in his letter to Slive. "I said, as a matter of fact, when we score our first touchdown, I expect you guys to celebrate to the point where the official will throw a flag for excessive celebration. I admit this was inappropriate."

quote:

"On the day of the game I re-emphasized to the team that this was not going to be an individual celebration, but a team celebration," Richt wrote. "Again, I was expecting the 11 players on the field to be doing the celebrating, not for the bench to clear as it did.

don't say it's an entire team celebration and not expect the dipshits who play college football to clear the bench

Have an 3-9 season and let me konw if you care by Game 11. I cared enough to drive down to AU, but not enough to pay attention to the beating after about 5 minutes.

It is just more of a reminder of how the program underachieves, when players from your own backyard accomplish something your team hasn't sniffed. If UGA ever gets that monkey off their back, maybe they will not be so chapped with AU.

Why didn't Auburn's bench run out there?

We've been over this, he only meant the 11 guys on the field at the time, but they thought he meant the "team" as in all of them.

Also, you should be aware that I don't care even if he did tell them all to do it and would have actually enjoyed it even more if the coaches, cheerleaders, watergirl, Larry Munson, Hairy Dawg and few randoms jumped out of the stands and ran out there to dance with them.

Uhh, you proved my point with your quote

quote:

Again, I was expecting the 11 players on the field to be doing the celebrating, not for the bench to clear as it did.

Don't be that guy that focuses on the semantics of what exactly makes up a "team".

That week Richt told the offense that if we scored first, that he would allow them to celebrate and draw a PF penalty. And if you watch the replay, you can see knowshon get on a knee and "take a picture" of another player. That was the celebration that had been planned. The entire bench clearing was something the bench came up with and didn't tell anyone, not even the rest of the team. It was NEVER richt's intention for anyoen other than the 11 players on the field to do something.

That is what happened, that's a fact.

I love how the picture doesn't show the other half of the field, you know, where auburn would be coming from

All we need now is a paper trail of phony ATMs and we're in business. That and a catchy thread title.
