Interesting how two view points can change a recollection. I don't remember that game being close at all.

#1 Bo
And that's pretty much it. (I won't mention the outcome of the game out of respect for Bo.)
Dude, Bo didn't lose that Cotton Bowl, the rest of the team did.
Hell, he got offensive MVP for the damn game, with 129 yds rushing and 1 TD and 73 yards receiving and 1 TD.
The fact that y'all kicked our arse was anybody's fault but his.

I saw Spencer Ware and Stevan Ridley play in the 2011 Cotton Bowl. Those guys put on a show.

McCluster against Tennessee in 09(?) was the best single game performance by an RB I've ever seen in person

Here're three from my undergrad years--early 90s.
We had the Triple Threat of Texas A&M Tailbacks Greg Hill, Rodney Thomas, and Leeland McElroy.
Those were amazing times. One of em always had the ball--and the defense knew it was coming. But they had a hard time stopping em.
Rest in peace, Rodney. Funeral services to be held Friday.

"The only thing good I can say about them from a defensive perspective is that they can't all carry the ball at the same time," said Joe Wessel, who coaches Notre Dame's linebackers.
But [Aggie OC] Bob Toledo does look for occasions when he can play all of them at the same time, using the powerful Thomas at fullback, the elusive Hill at tailback and the fast McElroy at wide receiver.
"That keeps the alumni happy," Toledo said.

1 - Herschel
2 - Bo
3 - (I'm honoring George Rogers here.)
4 - The kid at Arkansas a few years ago. His name escapes me at the moment.
5 - Tie ... Mark Ingram (game against us @ Bama), Duce Staley (waaay underrated), and the Edwards kid at Georgia maybe in the 90s? Was a converted DB, ended up suffering a horrific knee injury during some NFL best athlete competition if I remember correctly? Robert Edwards was it? I dunno. Kid was an incredible talent.

Tough, tough question.
1) McFadden - Many ways, many times.
2) Bo- Fantastic, but I didn't see his best performance in person.
3) Eric Rhett- A vastly underrated guy.
4) Sean Alexander- I flipped back and forth on this with Rhett. Gets shortchanged among the great Alabama backs.
5) Reggie Cobb - I saw him as a freshman at TN, and thought he would have a better career than he did. I still blame Johnny Majors for not going for 2 in the Auburn game.

I've seen some of the best in LSU history in person: Charles Alexander, Dalton Hilliard, Kevin Faulk, Jeremy Hill.
