you picked a picture after a game had obviously not even begun? i mean at least be a little more subtle with your troll. yes, tennessee's attendance has suffered after 6 years of sucking, but they still sell 90k a game, which is plenty respectable in this economy

Agreed - attendance improved for Tennessee last year. But still, they Clemsoned their numbers in previous years and claimed 90k many times when they were lucky to have 45-60k butts in seats.

I abhor modern methodology claiming "sold out" verses "attendance" and then intentionally confusing the two. If you're sick then admit your sick and quit denying it when everyone can see it, can see your program's nose falling off its face, for themselves. And that's what fans are, the nose on the face of programs. If they have warts it makes the entire face look bad and lying about it only makes the nose longer and more pronounced.

I like Tennessee fans, been to many games up there. There is not a prouder, more supportive, bunch in the league when they are winning. They even handled losing well for awhile. It happens to everyone eventually. But good gosh, don't claim 90k attendance when there are only 50k in the seats and then come back and clarify by saying you meant to say "actual tickets sold." It takes something away from the integrity and honor of the game.

Clemson does that crap all the time and it's just pathetic, especially to that extent. Then they'll get up for two games a year, FSU and SCAR, and Musburger will be there blowing them under the table and calling it the greatest entrance in college football and it's just pathetic.

I wish no SEC teams would stoop so low. Call it what it is and move on.

Actual fans in seats in the pulse of a program. Fans in seats is what you gauge everything on. And if an AD ever lets it go so far as to see a 50% drop off in attendance, then the fricking AD should be the first one fired.

During that 0-21 streak where SCAR became so famous for filling the stadium - that was all to the credit of Mike McGee, our greatest ever AD. He knew how loyal we were to stay through the 98 season, but he knew we would send a message in the 99 season and he never let it go that far. He fired Fat Bradstard Scott and hired Holtz and Holtz did his best coaching job ever making us competitive during the 99 season given what he inherited ... so we kept coming. Thank you Coach McGee.

When you see half empty stadiums midway through the 1st quarter then the first place you'd better be looking is in the AD's office because that is where the problem lies.

The Clemson entrance is cooler than any tradition South Carolina has.
