If not, do you plan on making the switch or are you going to ride it out and hope your carrier picks it up?

We are getting to the middle of June, so not much time left for these companies to make a deal.

We have ATT Uverse.

Been very happy with the bundle of landline, internet, and HD cable since switching from Mediacom about 2 years ago.

The only issue is that we have to renegotiate our contract every 12 months or they try to increase our bill by ~$50-60 per month.

We have Direct but our contract is up this month, so the timing is perfect. I've pretty much made up my mind that it's Dish or Uverse, but Uverse wasn't available at my house roughly a year ago when I checked (new subdivision).

I'd prefer Uverse because of the pricing and lack of contract parameters, but I had Dish for a while several years ago and liked their service and they're offering me some pretty good deals right now.

Switching to Dish, I've had it with DirecTV. They're always dropping channels but the price keeps going up.

I've got Cox at the moment. I'll hold out a while longer because I don't think they would be that stupid to not get SECn, but if they don't I told my wife we are getting dish.

I didn't realize that you lived in Mississippi?

For this going the Dish route...I've had it at home for two years and am very pleased.

There is still the issue of losing signal during storms, but I will switch to standard definition channel and it usually holds steady during storms.

Dish has some good deals when you start. For the first year my bill was below $50. You can access your account online, change your channel package at any time. This is what I like. I want more sports channels during football season, but not so much afterwards.

I also spent $300 on the tailgater. We'll worth it IMO if you camp, tailgate, or have an outdoor tv area like I do.

I've been looking to switch to Uverse lately, but I wasn't too impressed with their internet speeds. Saw today that they are now offering a plan that can allow 45/mbps, which is comparable to my Comcast plan that I currently have. Might have to make the switch.

I'm going to stick it out with Directv for this year. I like NFL ticket and I think our schedule will prevent us from winning more than 5.

Or just get a Genie for your outdoor TV area.

I have Uverse and love it. I have never lost signal in the over a year we have had the service, not once. We have all wireless recievers as well and can DVR in any room and watch any DVR in any room. Also have a wireless one for the back porch TV.

My only two options are RCN and Time Warner. Neither have agreements with the SECN. I literally cannot get the SECN as of today even if I were willing to pay $1,000/mo.

Couldn't you do the internet provider for ESPN3 access and stream everything since you should have no blackouts in your area?

Sucks, but if its your only option...

Yep. I'm on RCN as of now...and I love them. Their internet service has been fantastic and they keep giving me free movie channels for a year at a time. Couldn't be happier.

But they're a smaller company. If the SECN games are broadcast through ESPN3, I'd be fine. But if they're on WatchESPN, I'm fricked.

Now, if I go back to Time Warner I'd have access to WatchESPN. So that would be nice. But everything about their service sucked when I had it previously. Significantly more expensive packages. Internet speeds that were 1/5th of what I get now. Terrible customer service.

I may be moving to San Francisco around September, though. If so, I should be able to get Dish or maybe UVerse or something. If not, I'll probably just stream our games through XBMC or a Stream Torrent link. Not great, but better than nothing/going back to shitty TWC.

This is my main reason for being with Directv. However, if they don't pick up the SEC network, I will have to make a choice.

Personally, I think they will pick up the SEC network at the end.
