Too clarify. Not get drunk, but have a drink. At least one.

I was going through a lot of personal stuff and I let my drinking get the best of me for a while. About the middle of last march I decided to just stop cold turkey. I Actually went through some mild withdrawal symptoms.
I don't feel like I was an addict bc I never had any cravings and I haven't had any since I quit either. But I definitely had the other characteristics of an addict and I actually avoided going to football games last fall so I wouldn't be around it just in case.
I would probably have a glass of wine or a beer now if I were at a social event or something now, but other than that I don't see the point anymore.
That's awesome, realist. I have been thinking about doing the same. I don't consider myself an addict. I didn't drink yesterday. I probably won't drink today. I get drunk once a week at the the most. Usually not at all. Now I am thinking about drinking a beer because of this thread though. But I have been thinking about going a couple weeks and see how I feel after that. I know my body will thank me and probably my brain. I have done it before and didn't see the point of it afterwards.

2 to 3 days a week for me. Usually just a beer to relax and wind down the day.
