I love how AU fans on this site now selectively use the word "appeared" interchangeably with "won" as if they are worthy of the same praise. "Appeared" is the new AU word for "lost." You almost never see the phrase "lost the national title game." It is now always "appeared in the national title" or "played in the national title."

I have never seen such bragging about a national championship loss out of any other fan base. LSU and Ohio State fans are embarrassed and ashamed of their championship game losses. AU embraces it and speaks of the game as if the 2nd half collapse never happened.

Alabama is the pinnacle of talent no matter what year and the stats and overall consensus support it. So naturally, ANY TEAM Alabama loses to, whether it be a BCS team or a 3rd in the west, it is classified to some degree under the same category. Your question is somewhat rhetorical and heavily hypothetical to which is obviously, like I said, a witty deflection to my said controversially charged post.

I can't answer it under logical and factually supported circumstances. 2012 is the only year that really fits your description. Texas A&M's Christ was Johnny Manziel and he was the only player on that team besides 1 other defensive player that destroyed Alabama yardage wise on less talent. 2010, talent could be debated, seeing as Auburn was unusually stacked that year. LSU and Alabama talent is almost identical as evidenced in recent years and by following recruiting.

Some of this post could definitely be debated as well but I hope I took on your question as logically as possible.

Yep. It makes the SEC championship meaningless. At least we lost to another SEC team. AU embarrassed all of us with that dud. No way Bama loses to FSU. They broke our streak. They should be more embarrassed than anyone.

I hate that aTm and Auburn are bringing this running QB, spread bullshite. LSU and Bama win with defenses that will knock you on your arse and RBs that will run you over.

Bama embarrassed the SEC enough by getting beat down by the biggest anti-SEC coach in the nation. Giving him more reason to claim the SEC is overrated. FSU would have beaten Oklahoma worse than Texas did and beaten Bama worse than that. FSU's Defense and passing game was a lot better than OU's. Outside of here the media made more fun of Bama losing than Auburn.

I respect you Rabern57. I wish all the AU fans were more like you. But the Bama players were still upset about the Iron Bowl. To me, the Sugar Bowl game was meaningless. Saban has not lost a NC game, and I don't think he would have against FSU. He knows Jimbo like the back of his hand. He taught him everthing he knows. I'm not saying it would have been easy, but Bama would have won. And most of the media I heard said that a lot of the Bama players were dreaming of the NFL and could care less about a Sugar Bowl. Oklahoma needed that game desperately. I wouldn't be surprised if Stoops sold his soul for that game.

I hate to break the news to you, but Auburn is the team that won the western division, SEC championship, and played for the national championship last year. Just because morons like you claim it was luck doesn't change the fact that Auburn did all of those things. LSU is the team that won nothing last year. In fact, LSU has only won the western division 1 time since 2008

Who said it was luck. You guys beat Bama fair and square. Congratulations. But how does it feel to be our bitch? Oh, and in case you didn't know:
quote:

Since Miles has been the coach, Auburn has lost 31% of their games and has gone through three coaches. LSU has lost 20%. Both have one NC. LSU has won 6 out of the last 7 years of their meetings, anything else?
Not to mention the NFL draft picks. Deal with it.

The fact that you think winning a division and losing in a title game buys you credibility is exactly why you do not belong in the conversation with LSU and Alabama.

Twist and spit and come up with all the excuses you can from here out, but that is the simple truth and why this thread is a joke.

Auburn also has more SEC championships than any team over the last decade, more undefeated seasons than any team in college football over the same time, and has still won almost twice as many games as they have lost against bammer during the 21st century (9-5)

You lost all your credibility (if you had any to begin with). LSU and Auburn both have 3 SEC Championships since 2003. The 2014 season has yet to be played. And like the SEC championship means anything (see 2011).

2004-2013 is ten years. Count them off and see how many you come up with. LSU only has two conference championships during that time

So you're conveniently leaving out 2003? Priceless. Thanks for proving my point about Auburn fans. Unreal. You're still our bitch. Get over it.

And yet in those 5 years Georgia's record against the mighty Auburn Tigers has been 3-2. And you won one of those with an unbelievable (Miracle?) play. Looks as if it is your role to be beaten up by us on a regular bases, no? We so scuuuuured of you!
