I don't care for ESPN's playing up of the situation, but people's reaction, specifically on the internet where anonymity reigns supreme, is getting old.
This kid is going to work work work and hope he becomes a star.

I know. SEC fans are really exposing their bigotry.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. They don't have to agree with you.

Absolutely, but everyone is also entitled to at least some respect and common courtesy, we're all people trying to make our way through life and find happiness.

I think Mizzou fans might help by not starting any more threads on the subject. Killz, your thread started yesterday, made a good point and was worthy, Newest one is just inflammatory on purpose.

I don't mean this thread on our board. But there is no reason for 8 more here, either.

I've only started two threads, one was a very proper non-troll thread, the other was to bring people up to date with what exactly caused the meltdown.
The point was to show the people who haven't seen the cake incident that it wasn't a big deal.
Look, if Sam chose to do that in front of a national audience, he immediately gave everyone the right to talk about it...including myself.

I'm not hating on him but it is getting old hearing about it every 5 seconds on every channel you turn it on. It's the same thing that happened with Tebow. When someone gets that much coverage, it gets annoying and you'll have people who will cheer against that person.

to be honest, I'm annoyed as shite by the constant coverage.
I just needed to gets thoughts outta my head.
I'm done for a while.

This is where I am. I dont care if he is gay or straight. Dude is a 7th round pick and he is getting more coverage than Lebron in the playoffs. It's putting too much pressure on him. Treat him like a 7th round pick and let him play football. Because he is NOTHING more than a football player trying to live his dream. NFL people said it is not a big deal. Players say it is not a big deal. But the media is covering it like is the biggest development in NFL history. Wish Sam all the best. But wish I could hear about other NFL news that is not related to him.
Venting= Over

It will die in time. Is ESPN overdoing it? Sure. Are a lot of people showing their arse, including here on the rant? Obviously. Again, it will go away with time.

Agreed that's such a stupid mind frame to be in though with the Tebow situation and this one. It's not as if they dictate whether ESPN puts them on loop or not, so disliking them for it doesn't make sense to me.

Likely, most of us are tired of reading, seeing or hearing about it. I think Sam is no longer driving the bus.
As far as SECRant goes, many are just using it as an excuse to further justify their opposition to Mizzou joining the SEC. I think some just resent the media attention it gives Mizzou, even if the topic is controversial and Mizzou is not the real subject.

The rant's full of bigots and I've made it my new mission to expose their hate

It's easy to under why uscE fans are mad about it. Until now they have had a moratorium and trademark rights on the phrase "Cock Lovers". It's slowly slipping from their cold talons.

The first openly gay player drafted in the NFL is a big media deal. Everybody is going to have to deal with it. There have been 20+ threads of dealing with it already. I think it's great. Let it out.
So does anyone know when the last time the SEC defensive player of the year wasn't drafted until the seventh round? May be a good question for the rant

Mizzoufan
Now that should be a thread! I wish I would've thought of that because I would've made it a 10 page thread.
That's how my mind works....
