I need to make some extra money. Is painting lures an option?

Not the best way to apply for a job.

Just let me know. I'll take cash per unit if that's the normal rate.

after chatting with our buddy, I would hire someone to be a full time split ring installer.

You may laugh but I caught a spotted bass yesterday on Lanier that had a hole through it where it has been shot with a arrow. We have a few guys that bow fish here and I honestly believe that this fish was shot with an arrow
It had a fairly new entrance hole and a very prominant exit wound. You could put your finger all the way through him. He was otherwise in good shape and ate my green craw jig...
I have pics I will post later..

I've never eaten carp so I'll take your word on it. What I do know is they are fun as hell to shoot and try to pull in.

Fish are tough little bastards. Back when I was younger we used to gig gar out of a flat bottom aluminum boat. We would gig them and then beat them with the paddle until they stopped flopping. We never kept them so when we would get back to shore after a few hours we would turn the boat over so the turtles would have a free dinner. There were always one or 2 that would swim off as soon as they hit the water.
Another fishing story. 2 weeks ago I took my 2 boys fishing for blue gill. I always use a stringer for blue gill in case we don't catch enough to make a meal. We were done for the day and when I pulled the stringer in the bottom fish was about half swallowed by a 4 ft cottonmouth. I have an unhealthy fear of snakes and about shite myself trying to knock the damn thing off. I finally gave up and left the stringer attached to the boat instead of putting it in the live well and headed for the dock. Luckily there was a redneck there who took care of it for me by cutting the snakes head off. Made me feel like a pussy but I don't do snakes.

Here is the fish and the story I mentioned before
Caught this crazy fish this week. These are pictures from both sides. This was a 2.5 pound spotted bass that ate my jig in 30 feet of water. He was strong and other than the big hole all the way through him, he was perfectly healthy. He appears to have a entrance hole in one side and a exit hole in the other. The exit hole shows the flesh and organs coming out while the other side had a much smaller hole. I am convinced that this fish was either shot with a arrow or gun. I stuck my finger all the way through him with ease. The wound appeared to be very fresh.... Crazy...

Probably should have been killed but i was not going to eat that nasty thing... LOL
I gave him his only chance. Put his arse back and give him a fighting chance

Dude. If he lived through that, put him back. That would be some bad karma to kill that fish.
