Oh man...freakin' twitter. It's obvious that Bedford doesn't think much of JFF/A&M, which is fine. Bedford is an old school Horn that played DB when Texas and A&M actually were "rivals" on the field. I get it, but in this global recruiting world, grown men have to measure their words...maybe he did and he's getting the reaction he wanted. Who knows.

If it was an isolated incident, it would be one thing, but it's just the latest in a series of events in the last year.

But this is starting to become chronic from Stong & his staff.
I've heard/read zero such comments from them directed towards any B12 conference foes.
And yet we're the ones who catch hell for it.

Weird, every Texas fan I talked to prior to our SEC move would go out of their way to make sure I knew that A&M was never a "real" rival to Texas and that only OU was worthy of such a claim.

To be fair, there's a Big 12 bylaw that imposes punishments on any school whose players, coaches, or staff disparage another Big 12 school. Of course, this rule was enacted in July of 2012...when the "Big 12 pride" officially began.
That's why Steve Edmond (t.u. linebacker) was forced to apologize after calling Baylor "trash".

yea, I guess you're talking about "gadget program" and the Drake deal on Instagram with a recruit...the two may no longer be on field rivals but if you're anything like me you work with, you're friends with, go to church with and grew up with Texas Exes or in my case, Aggies.
My best friend growing up was an Ag whose dad played football at A&M...the 80's were a tough decade to grow up in as a child of Texas Exes. Still have close friends and acquaintances that are A&M alums and I personally love the barbs and jokes traded back and forth. I think it's great and if I'm completely honest with you, I miss the game...Thanksgiving isn't the same.
I understand there's bad blood and political gamesmanship going on but I sincerely hope that at some point the game comes back.

In 14 years of military service, I've seen four Texas Exes wear the same uniform I do and I don't have any close friends that fit that description (or even facebook friends for that matter). I live south of Tacoma, so none at church either.

And it makes perfect sense.
Sportsmanship should be contained to one's conference; while insecurity and a brutal case of chapped arse are typically OOC-induced.

In fairness, the OU rivalry had been the more heated of the two in recent years but there is no denying that the A&M game was special.
So they're lying to you or too young to have an opinion that counts.

maybe it's a regional thing. I'm in East Texas...If I hated every Aggie, I wouldn't have many friends or business opportunities.
