Literally you guys are defending these actions. Instead of just saying the shite was terrible and disgusting.
Keep defending, deflecting and act like it was the problem of a few here or there or everybody else not the university.
It is beyond insulting to anyone here's intelligence that you guys even utter such.

White knighting?
I just thought it was hilarious that hjj said he wished wright would've talked about how far OM has come when there were 2 embarrassing racial situations on the OM campus in the past 2 weeks.

The 30 for 30 is over a year old, arse.
And if you look at all what Ole Miss has done positively compared to the negatives, the people saying the university is still racist would be very disappointed.

I haven't defended anything. It was disgusting and horrible, and few other institutions would have handled it as poorly if put in the same situation.
We've been trying to ask forgiveness for 50 years, but we still have a long way to go. It is the university of Mississippi , there's a lot of negative stereotypes for a reason.
What else do you want to hear you little bitch?

This is the downside to the SEC. For as great as the move has even for us--and it has--being associated with institutions like the University of Mississippi and its people is the cost. And it's not nominal.

I heard some jackass on CNN saying we need to get rid of the name "Ole Miss"
I'll say this hear and now. If they do take away the name Ole Miss, I will renounce my fanhood and start donating money to Mississippi State or LSU.

If you are explaining, making excuses or not condemning it instead of owning it then you're basically defending that nonsense.

And how is that relevant?
You wanted him to say that y'all had come a long way until the past couple of weeks?
You want to applauded for not doing racist shite but when you do racist shite it's not a big deal?
That's silly bro.

I wouldn't be happy, but this stance is ridiculous. Donate to State or LSU? Just kill yourself instead

Three drunk 18 year old freshmen from Georgia speak for the entire school now I guess.
Lets just forget that the university offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to arrests and are seeking federal charges against the kids. Yeah. The university sounds REALLY accepting of what the students did.

I see both points.
Ole Miss has come a long way (as have Mississippi and the US in general) with race relations, but there are some pretty fricking stupid, sheltered, entitled people as undergrads at Ole Miss. Bad apples and the whole bunch and all that.
That said, I don't think Wright Thompson owed it to Ole Miss to report the story any differently. I don't think that's really the point of the story anyway.
