A host of up-tempo, no-huddle coaches, including Auburn's Gus Malzahn, have come out publicly against the proposed rule.
Well of course Gus would put winning ballgames in front of player safety on his priority list. Not even a little surprised.

Sorry you have to make stuff up to justify your POS coach.

You're trying too hard. Really, stop.

Are you guys preemptively looking for a less capable rival?
LSU has had an application sitting in a pile on Saban's desk for years. Maybe we accept them as our rival once AU leaves the NCAA.

Gus' players are smart enough to fall down.
Why can't Bert's players follow Bert's example and do the same?
Gravity saves lives.

What does this say about Bielema when this doesn't?

I hope it does just to watch the meltdown on here.
bro, your coach is the only one melting. Can you provide a DC of a player dying during a game where the HUNH was being run?

Bielema expects slow-down rule to pass Did this guy just say "death certificate" and throw out the death of a kid under a coach who publicly lambasted his idea? Whatever else happens, somebody just went full retard and made an enemy for life.
Yes he did and he should be ashamed. Using the sad death of an athlete to promote his agenda. Does he not condition his players? Obesity is one of the biggest killers on the nation and this fat F:/$ brings that up.

@TroySchulteADG: Lastly: Bielema didn't sound too confident rule would pass March 6, but he had never seen a rule rooted in safety not pass
This is what lil nick and bielema are basing their hopes on - safety concern rules always pass - let's just try to sneak it past everyone.
So transparent. So embarrassing.

Jesus Christ did Bert really say that? Beyond pathetic.
What's even more embarrassing is the pig fans defending that.

is the key word. bb hasn't rooted this rule in safety. he threw a big pos against the wall hoping it sticks.

This fat bastard opens with Auburn in Auburn next year. Its gonna be Hot. Gus is gonna open a can on ole Bert. For now, he can keep talking.

Auburn is going to bring the pain to Arkansas.
I almost felt sorry for them right then...then I remembered how terrible most of their fanbase is. Thank God TheChesireHog is good peoples, along with pioneer and a couple more.

I haven't participated in these thread cause they're dumb.
But how does the rule apply in the 4th quarter? Or right before half time?
Could potentially make comebacks even more difficult and the 2 min drill with a mandatory 10 second wait between snaps would be lulz gold.

As long as it doesn't apply at the buffet line.

I believe the rule would not apply to the last 2 minutes of the half...because player safety doesn't matter then.

Bielema, speaking to the media before a meeting of the White County Razorback Club on Thursday night, reiterated his stance that the proposal is safety-based — saying he wants to be proactive and make a change before presented with a player's "death certificate."
The former Wisconsin coach pointed to the recent death of California football player Ted Agu during a training run, saying the inability to substitute an injured player between plays could lead to injury or death.
This is so wrong. It's one thing to be over-dramatic and alarmist to further your cause. That's bad enough. But naming a player and using his tragic death that happened on a simple training run in order to justify your opinion takes it from being just tacky into a whole new arena -- a ghoulish, win at all costs, unethical, exploitation based, arena.
I haven't picked on Bielema or engaged in bashing him but this speaks to who he truly is as a person. That person looks very much like a callous douchebag.
