That's just the way kids talk at that age. He hasn't had the Bama football PR training yet. Not worried at all about the "agent" talk. Would be more worried if another school was closing in on him. The linebacker class this year isn't overly impressive.

Speaking of LB class. We need to lock Ben Davis, Mack Wilson, and tre Lamar up. We are going to cleanup in 2016. Lamar is a pure mike. I could see davis or Wilson either one playing inside or outside. Will be nice since ragland and Lee will be gone. We will be down to reuben and whomever decides to step up

Monday, Feb, 2 – Thursday, Feb. 5 — Dead period: The recruiting process goes back into a dead period the week of National Signing Day, and the same rules apply to this dead period as the one that spanned from mid-December to mid-January during college football’s bowl season.

For those still not in the know, a dead period prohibits players and coaches from contacting one another in person, although electronic communication is still allowed. This prohibits schools from inviting players to campus on the eve of, or even the day of, National Signing Day.

Wednesday, Feb. 4 — National Signing Day: The big day is Wednesday, marking the first day non-early-enrollee prospects can sign letters of intent with their schools of choice, finalizing their decisions once and for all. To clarify, players don’t have to sign on this day, but they cannot sign before National Signing Day unless they’re enrolling early in school (and that phase in the recruiting process has already passed).

Recruits will have until April 1 to officially sign a letter of intent to accept a scholarship offer.

Friday, Feb. 6 – Tues. April 6 — Quiet period: The NCAA enters another quiet period following the dead period that encompasses National Signing Day. This quiet period will extend for most of the remainder of the academic year, prohibiting coaches from making house visits in the immediate aftermath of National Signing Day while some players still make up their minds.

This also keeps coaches with an edge in resources and national outreach from getting a head start on visits to the top players in the 2016 class all over the country.

Not worried one bit. I see this as him happy it is dead period and that rival coaches can no longer contact him and he can sit back and just wait for NSD to come Wednesday. Also probably tired of being hassled by rival sites trying to get info to twist to pump out subs.

All those guys on these sites are basically lowlife paparazzi right now. Trying to beat someone for the scoop. They scour through message boards, follow recruits on twitter, and stalk their facebook pages hoping for something to print. To be honest I wish the NCAA or someone could shut it all down. 99% of the crap that comes from recruiting sites is speculation that is geared to get hits and opinions from people who are not anymore of an expert than many on here. Again most of their info is useless and any real info they produce most of the time was already on a message board somewhere.

While today has been a quiet Sunday in regards to news for the class of 2015, the Tide did add someone to an important but sometimes not so publicized position.

According to BamaOnline, Parris will be added as a preferred walk-on.

Parris was named a member of the Alabama All-Star team for the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic in December. A veteran of numerous camps and a student at Rubio Long Snapping, Parris boosts a 15-yard snap time of .747 seconds and stands 6-foot, 230 pounds.

Whats the latest on Cece Jefferson?

Seems like we have some here who think he is a 100% lock and other schools are thinking the same. Is he keeping it that close to the vest?

I've said all along florida gets Cowart, Ivey, and Jefferson. I'm sticking to that prediction.

From some dude on BOL regarding CeCe:

quote:

Just spoke with a source close to CeCe and he said that Jefferson is "basically" down to 2 schools. He said that he wasn't sure who the two were, but he is almost positive Jefferson will leave Florida. He also said those 2 schools are very likely to be the ones he is in contact with the most. Like I said folks, the guy I talked to is from just outside of Jacksonville and has some media connections there. Clears up the picture slightly but there's still a lot of uncertainty about it. Just passing along what I heard, nothing earth shattering.

Alabama may or may not win another national recruiting title, but rest assured no one in the SEC is catching the Crimson Tide in the class of 2015. Here is a look at how the 14-member conference stacks up heading into National Signing Day.

quote:

1. Alabama

The Alabama recruiting machine remains well oiled. The Crimson Tide is headed toward Signing Day with the nation's top rated class once again. Nick Saban's haul is highlighted by No. 8 overall prospect Damien Harris, the top running back in America. The Tide also has a commitment from No. 9 Calvin Ridley, the No.1 receiver in the class. In all, the Tide's class includes four five-stars so far. Saban and company are still involved with Arkansas-based four-star,wide receiver K.J. Hill, who remains uncommitted.
