I think people are misreading the NCAA rules. If signing autographs that end up in a business's promotions was an NCAA violation then Alabama would have long been cited for violations. The C&D letter from UA to the store owner to stop using signed UA jerseys to promote his business is all that is required by the NCAA. Until there is evidence the players in question are receiving benefits for their autographs then this a just a lame rehash of a non issue.

That's actually a pretty funny article and not shockingly true.

Sweet example. How did that turn out?
Hilarious. Bama gave their coach another two million per year to go on a two game losing streak, then have a mental breakdown, run off his staff, and hire natural born losers to remake his offense.

As much as there is for young people to do nowadays, there is no way all these players (but only the best players - ones whose autographs would be valuable)would hang out at a clothing store -- unless they were receiving something. He doesn't even look like that cool a guy. something has to draw them to spend time with him, and if he even buys one of them a dinner, that is an NCAA violation. So it can't be for the nachos he serves in the back room. Again, are there pictures of players whose autographs wouldn't sell?

"We are aware of the story produced today," Alabama athletics director Bill Battle said. "As part of our ongoing compliance efforts, our compliance department looks into everything that warrants concern. That effort is diligent and all-encompassing, and requires constant communication and education regarding all potential issues."

Well, I'm ordering 15 Autographed C.Kouandjio jerseys from the 2012 BCSNC game, 2 Autographed Yeldon Jerseys, 9 Autographed Dee Hart Jerseys and 1 football signed by Yeldon, Cooper and McCarron.
If you look at the top of the screen shot you will see the response I got when I tried to add 14 of the Autographed footballs. Sorry, They only have 5 in stock, but I can still get my 24 autographed jerseys though! LMAO! $79K.... WTF????

nah. Looks more like a autograph by demand. You can sew a BCS championship logo on any jersey.
Need it game worn? Hell, just go roll around in the grass for a little while.

I have a question going back a few pages.
If a booster sells a $15,000 car to a player for $100 who then turns around and sells it for $15,000 and pockets it, it's okay with the NCAA.
But if he signs it and sells it for $100 that is not allowed?

Bama coaches gave LOANS to players and people think the NCAA will punish them for a disassociated booster continuing to give money to players for memorabilia? Dream on
