I care if we win or lose. I think we will win, I'm not too concerned.
In 2010 I was more concerned about winning the first real championship since 1957.
This year we've got a team that knows how to play 60 minutes and they don't quit. If FSU is truly a superior team they deserve it. But I don't buy the hype that makes them a 8.5 point favorite and a 2.6:1 favorite to win.

I agree with you. I want to see us play well and play hard, if FSU is the better team so be it.

That's not an excellent point.
That was 2 SEC teams playing, one of em had to lose.
If Auburn loses to FSU that will be officially ending the streak.
The streak didn't end in 2011.
That is all great what you say, but it does not correctly answer the question that was asked.
Here is the question asked of me.

I guess not being the first SEC team to lose a BCS championship game would be a soothing salve.
LSU being the first SEC team to lose the BCS Championship is the absolute correct answer here.

I have zero concern. Coach will have them ready to play and I am confident the team will give everything they have. Can not ask for anything more than that.

Any of the top four SEC teams would beat FSU . The barn wins by at least ten .

I for one will be terribly dissapointed, we aren't supposed to be here, we have division 2 linebackers, our secondary is very average. But we are here and one game away from the last crystal ball. Losing will suck.Gus will upgrade those positions of need, but this year we gotta go with what we got, hope it's enough.

Not as concerned as I thought I'd be. I think winning one just a few years ago makes more of a difference than how last season went.
This. It just doesn't feel as "do or die" as 2010 since this time it hasn't been 52 years since we won a NC.
I certainly am concerned that FSU can/will possibly beat us, but if they do it is still unreal how good of shape the program is moving forward. We'll likely have a shot at winning the SEC again next year.

Whatever makes you feel better if you do lose

We (Auburn) have been playing with house money since Texas A&M. I expected a 7 win season and thought we could get an 8 win with a few breaks. This season has been a real treat, one of my favorite Auburn teams ever. I think we are going to win in January but it is an excellent FSU that is really strong on offense in an area where we are weak on defense. If we win I'll be jubilant, if we lose it remains one of the most fun seasons I've ever had as a fan.

Bunch of reasonable-arse Auburn fans up in here.

No, not really. But thanks for asking!

Don't think I could say it better than the AU fans in this thread... personally, I do not expect to win, as this is probably the best opponent in the streak... but it's been an awesome ride regardless.

Yeah, I'm concerned. I want to finish it off right. This season has been spectacular and the memories of 34-28 and the UGA miracle will never go away.
But the way we cap it off does matter. It will go down as a great AU season or an epic one in competition with 2010, 2004, and 1983 as best AU season ever if we beat FSU. People are talking about this FSU team as the best or most talented team in NCAA history. ESPN wrote an article yesterday asking if they are better than 2001 Miami and concluded they might be but the verdict is still out.
If we don't win, it will hurt for me. I'll get over it fast of course and go back to considering this season as a spectacular success with tons of great memories, just not an epic one in the discussion of best ever for AU.

Agree with this as well. Even though I really want to win, 2010 was bigger for me. 2010 was one I felt we had to win. Considering we have almost everyone back next year and just won it a few years ago, this certainly does not feel like a must win.

Does anyone know the locations of all the playoff games? i need to try to figure out where AU plays first so i can buy tickets. < My only concern!

maybe AU wins, maybe not, but i at least hope they keep it exciting for 4 quarters, otherwise my boss (an FSU grad...or so he says, lol) will be unbearable for a lifetime

I will not get over it fast to be honest. Bama's run notwithstanding, it is damn hard to get this far. Takes such an incredible team chemistry, plus a lot of balls bouncing your way (literally), plus a mostly injury free run. Not taking advantage of it to get another ring would be devastating.
Not saying I wouldn't be proud of this team - they have been surreal. But they better feel the same way - and I would imagine Gus is riding them hard to make them feel it. Can't imagine Gus is happy no matter what happens.

What is it with you LSU fans. I simply answered a question and you all would think I shagged your sister or mother. Get over it bitches. Y'all are the first SEC team to lose the BCS. If some outside chance Auburn loses we would be the first to break the streak. It's really not that difficult and won't be any easier to digest even if I wrote it slower.

None for me brah…. personally, I think we are going to win the game but like you said, its just gravy…
We have had a unbelievable season and winning the crystal will just be the topping…
I know FSU is a hell of a team but I just don't think this years team will lose a big game like this. I see a touchdown win for Auburn and Nick Marshall will be the MVP.
I will once again roll some cacti on my way to phoenix to hitch a ride home from Pasadena.
