Again - while this might not be solely about the money, the money is a big part of it. A huge part of the motivation for Sexton and Saban is to get absolutely THE highest rate of pay possible. I wouldn't have a problem with that part of it, but the methods they use are - distasteful.

Again, this has been mentioned over and over before but it obviously needs to be revisited.

If you think his decision is going to come down to money then I can't help you. If Texas wants to offer 10 million a year, bama can match that without batting an eye. If they want to offer 15 million a year, bama can match that without batting an eye. If they want to offer 20 million a year, then Bill Battle will pack his shite up for him and tell him to hit the road. But Texas isn't going to offer him that. Any resonable or outlandish offer Alabama can match.

Texas may have ten times the money as Alabama, that doesn't mean they're going to throw it all at Saban. I don't think a lot of you are able to comprehend that.

OK. I get it. Lots of rich folks in Texas. So, how much are you going to pay? 100M? No, you are not. Lets go crazy and say its 15M. We will match that. $20M, we will match it. Its not about money dude. And not about getting out of Bryant's shadow. Saban has a chance to cast a longer one. No one replaces Bryant but he certainly will be remembered as a GREAT Alabama coach.
