That LSU game is destroying Bama's strength of schedule

They have only played 5 opponents with winning records right now this season and one of those was Colorado St. (Va Tech, TAMU, Ole Miss, LSU)

OM has a winning record.

Plus Ole Miss. That's five out of ten, hardly something to get rustled about.
Not a dominant schedule, but not one that is pathetically weak (like Ohio State's)

LSU and strength should not be used in the same sentence.

What I was thinking, doesn't help Bama

This. Losing to a top 5 team raises your SOS 90% of the time while also lowering the SOS of that top 5 team.

For the record, Sagarin's BCS rankings have Northern Illinois ranked #3

It would be interesting to see how he came about those, by looking at each schedule thus far.
He must be using rankings at the time the games were played, rather than current rankings. Correct?
With regard to SCAR it would look like this ... road games in bold.
vs UNC (currently 5-5)
@ Georgia (full strength and #11 then, unranked now)(currently 6-4)
vs Vandy (currently 6-4)
@ UCF (unranked then, #17 now)(currently 8-1)
vs Kentucky (currently 2-8)
@ Arkansas (currently 3-7)
@ Tennessee (currently 4-6)
@ Mizzou (#5 at the time, #8 for the time being)(currently 9-1)
vs Miss St (currently 4-6)
vs Florida (currently 4-6)
vs Coastal Carolina (#8 FCS)(currently 10-1)
vs Clemson (#7) (currently 9-1)
I think having the 21st strongest SOS is generous and it can only be because of the road games we've played against ranked teams IMHO.
Should only go up when we beat Clemson at our place, although Mizzou losing to Ole Miss and A&M will probably hurt us in the long run.
Admittedly though, we played the two weakest teams in the conference this season in Kentucky and Arkansas. And losing to Tennessee, even at their place, is almost unforgivable.

Bolded teams have artificially inflated SOS due to having played Alabama.
Alabama is at a disadvantage from a SOS standpoint because they can't play themselves.
Alabama - at this junction in the season - has already played more teams with winning records than the entire 2004 Auburn Tigers football team did.
