You are wayyyy better than this.
Since the first inbred frickwit can't answer, maybe you can give the frame numbers or the verbiage in the OP that says the ball hit the ground before the hit.

He wasn't wearing an A&M jersey with #29 on it.

So you make a definitive statement without knowing what actually happened? Good stuff

It bounced once or twice before he touched it.

Looks shoulder to shoulder. He certainly didn't hit him with his helmet.

The SEC knew that were going to need Christian Jones against UT Chattanooga.

Any other colored jersey other than crimson would have been flagged and ejected for that.

you mad that he is at Bama? Sorry, ned. Better luck next year.

Kind of ironic that it was our punt returner that laid the hit to the kick returner. It's like RAeeeeeeeeeAIN on your wedding day.

Could have been 2010 in reverse. Bama loses key player for IB.
Y'all do know they've got another game before the Iron Bowl, right?
I mean, I don't think the rule is "you get suspended for the first half of the next team you play with even a remote possibility of challenging you"

Targeting is specifically "above the shoulders". If you think that was above the shoulders, I don't know what to tell you.
That was above the shoulders.
Does it fit the targeting rule? Let's see - he doesn't extend his arms, he launches his body, he hits the player above the chest. Yup! That's the definition of targeting - unless your Bama.
"No player is permitted to initiate contact and target a defenseless opponent above the shoulders".
Texas A&M just left a conference two years ago with a team that got favorable calls or non-calls ALL the time. I felt like the flag wasn't thrown to protect Bama's #1 ranking. Period.

He wasn't defenseless though. That's a live ball.

Can anyone explain this away?
Wasn't called targeting by the officials so it must not have been targeting.

Jones was not familiar with the rule since he plays mostly on offense. Pretty sure he said he wouldn't do it again.

Looks like a clean hit to me. Simple physics explains the helmet contact but he didn't lead with it and he didn't aim at the other guys head. He just hit him hard enough to where momentum carried him over the top and their helmets connected
