I actually think it is tough to be a mod because no matter what you do, somebody will think you are doing it wrong. More power to do what is probably usually a thankless job. I respect what you try to do as it is a fine line indeed. I thought I responded earlier to reedus in this thread but maybe it was kilo. All these Georgia icons begin to run together.

Was BigCat an alter and if so was he a Mizzou alter or an alter for another school? If he was a real fan and not an alter at all then is his comment of the other 2 valid? While you are correct we do not know what you know the lack of knowledge probably fuels the flames of rumors and speculation. As Wild Thang is not a mod that I am aware of he would not be privy to such information either so it is possible his reply is based on previous history on the Georgia Board fueled here with more speculation. In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king.

Easier said than done as soon as I put up a post it gets littered with the usual suspects. All this trolling crap was started when I put up a women's basketball thread. Not sure why I had done this numerous times before for all kinds of SEC women and secondary sports and that was the only one that got derailed by Mizzou fans. here is another gem from Sleeping Tiger trolling Vanderbilt. Who trolls the Dores? Thread went 8 pages and the Mizzou trolls turned out in force

Sadly no semo or reedus to reel in the trolls but the fact remains that the thread should have never been started in the first place and it was started by a known (outed since) but unknown then Mizzou troll.

a) It was not the first time such a thing happened, nor has it been the last.
b) When you do nothing it becomes "monkey see, monkey do" and you get a response like the one Wild Thang posted.

I get that some folks with Mizzou icons may not really be fans and some not sporting icons at all get a free pass but all these things roll back to the decent ones who have decent discussions. I even get that some Mizzou fans must hate somebody and Kansas is not around any longer so they feel lost if they do not displace that hate somewhere. The problem may arise from the lack of trolls and window lickers when they troll Kentucky and Vanderbilt. it is almost like in trying to fit in some Mizzou folks want to bully the smart kid (VU) or the tall kid (UK) to make them feel better about themselves.

Interesting dynamic when you think about it. Pick on the academic kid when Vandy is really smarter. Pick on the tall kid when Kentucky is the better basketball school. Yet they never pick on the football kid when Alabama is the better football school nor do they pick on the baseball kid when clearly LSU is the better baseball school.

Kansas is AAU, as is Vandy
Kansas is basketball, as is UK
Kansas is not a football school but Alabama is
Kansas is not a baseball school but LSU is
