I hope Saban stays at Bama until he retires but really, what pinnacle is there left to reach? Bama will be fine if he leaves whether it be with Kirby Smart or whoever. I can only hope the Bama fans won't be as butt hurt as the LSU fans over his departure. Never cared for Florida but they have handled Spurrier at USCe with a hell of a lot more grace and class than the vast majority of LSU fans have handled Saban being at Bama.

Yeah...it'd be so smart to clean house and fire a man who has just won the Big 12 (assuming they win out). What happens if Saban says no? Mack Brown is gone and Texas's dick is left flapping in the breeze.

To be fair I'd be desperate for Saban to leave if I was a LSU or AU fan.

Why would Sabah leave the sport's best league for arguably it's worst?

I said this in another thread but the only way I see Saban leaving Bama is if he pulls a Coach Cal and moves in order to stay ahead of the NCAA 'lawmen.'
While I still see that scenario as unlikely that may a bigger issue than we realize just now. It's odd that Tennessee's Mo Couch (named in the Fluker/Yahoo! scandal) was ruled permanently ineligible despite not taking much cash. Typically, you sit out four games and repay a fine. NCAA also took its sweet time with him. Another thing to consider is Bama fatigue - the rest of the country wants nothing more than to see Bama lose along with the rest of the SEC and I could see Bama being a possible target.

Sexton is not quoted. Saban is not quoted. A guy from Texas is quoted. That's like me saying "haley berry' agent told me if she ever left her husband it would be for me"

Dammit Crimsonsaint you're showing them stuff Saban himself said that's not fair. I mean this story sounds 100% legit and all. Such a great story with amazing insight...I've learned so much today..

Great reference.
FWIW, I don't think either is gonna happen though - just the only way I could see Saban leaving.
